Got this from KCRW's top song of the day podcast. I thought it was interesting enough to share. Very 80s-sounding.
→ I need to do my adorable animal poll again today. I swear I will. Give me a minute...
*procrastinates some more*
→ I have been listening to a lot of This American Life lately and one show in particular, something I'd been wanting to listen to for a while, just happened to be offered for free last week. It's called Notes on Camp and unfortunately you have to pay $0.99 in order to download it now -- or you can listen to it streaming on the site. Anyway, the show really kind of inspired me and I'm hoping to do a whole camp-related post soon, or perhaps a series of posts. I haven't really decided yet. But I do know that I have a lot of really fun things to share with you guys, so look forward to that. I think I'm going to listen to The Ghost of Bobby Dunbar next.
→ Related to that, I was joking with Dayl the other day about Ira Glass's speech and how he has a very slight, I don't know, not impediment, but quirk? Something to do with the pronunciation of his Ls. Not making fun of him, I actually think it's unique and interesting. Just something I noticed.
→ I think I've done fairly well with the lostsquee luau. So far I've written/contributed the following:
The Future: Picspam
strawberries; alex/richard
mother's milk; dogen
the woods that i've run through; vincent, walt
the darkest of marks; claire/jack
I'm not going to say I'm running out of steam, but I am having a lack of ideas right now. I'm sure it won't last.

Have you seen the show? I've only had the chance to see the first season, but it's definitely fun to see the show presented in a different format.

I remember a few years ago listening to The House On Loon Lake when I was into reading about and learning about urban archeology. That's a really good one too. I was reminded of it because recently in my google alerts, I think that particular show popped up three times in one week. And it's such an old show. It's funny that people still talk about it.
I have seen the show. Several episodes when it first came out. And honestly I think I liked the idea of a TV version of This American Life better than the actual execution of it. I'm not sure why. I think I just like the radio show better.
