I'm not sure breaking up as a band would keep them from being held responsible for any contracts they're breaking.

The statement they made said it was not due to health reasons or due to creative differences. So I'm not really sure. Despite her anxiety, it's possible that Meg is just ready to be done with music/celebrity/etc. Because obviously Jack is always doing, always making music. So much so that he has three bands, haha. (Had!)

I kind of hope he starts a new band or does some "solo" work. Because as much as I love Jack White (so much!) I do not like The Dead Weather at all. The Raconteurs are okay though.
