Okay so I'm leaving this comment on my phone in the parking lot before work so I'll come back for theories (yay!) later. I guess I also felt like the story with Stan being asked for a second hit, and the mayor threatening to expose Darren, were, while compelling, irrelevant to the murder investigation and more importantly kind of one-off moments that weren't already a part of their individual stories. (It was very "this problem will be solved by episode end" ish.) As the momentum in the case is so high it was a little frustrating waiting to see what was happening at the casino and then later at city hall. It's not all about the ship goggles I promise.
