Yeah you're right. Some stuff we're just not supposed to think about too much. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Katherine actually did try to get someone to turn her, but for whatever reason couldn't for a short time and then something happens in that timeframe to make her want to stay human? I don't know. But you know she's gonna be a vampire again someday. LOL. I'll be mad if she's like "You know what, I think I am going to go to college... far away" and just leaves lol.
