Let's start with Fitz. Fitz, fitz fitz fitzfphhrpfz. How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways:



Wow.



SO MUCH.



Do people watch this show and actually like Fitz and his emotionally abusive relationship with Olivia? (And not to mention Mellie, who I happen to love, but then I'm not even through season 2 yet,) I mean I wasn't rooting for his death when he got shot in the head or anything, but I'm definitely not a fan. I'm really curious about what the writers are hoping the audience gets out of his character. I feel like we're supposed to like him which kinda just makes me mad. I hope I'm wrong and I sincerely hope that the show is going to go to a "Fitz and Olivia are each other's arch nemesis" place. PLEASE tell me that's where this is headed?



Things of note. I love all of Olivia's team. Am sad better-Desmond had to leave (why did he have to leave?) and find myself wishing that episodes focusing on Fitz, or Fitz and Olivia and their sordid history of pushing and shoving, would just get back to the team already. I really want more time spent on all of them. Even though I feel like Olivia's relationship with them is kind of reminiscent of the emotional abuse she suffers at the hands of Fitz. Trust me and don't ask questions BS. There's a startling lack of trust amongst them, but I really love the "found family" aspect of it and how inherently good they all are despite some of the more shady things they do.



Love David Rosen. He really is the good guy in all of this. Miss the bantery "we're friends/we're not friends" stuff with him and Olivia from the earlier episodes. The guy really can't catch a break can he?



Unexpected time-jumps mid-season make me slightly grumpy. Makes me feel out of touch with the characters.



General Olivia feelings are mixed. Apologies for the redundancy, but I don't get her relationship with Fitz and it irritates me that she gives up everything including her self-respect for him. It kills me that she has to constantly lie to the people who would willingly jump off a cliff for her because of him. She's kind of perpetually in a bad mood, but I want her to be the hero that the show's set her up to be, I'm just not sure she is. YET. (Anymore?)
