I am trying to talking mom into coming with me on July 4th before we go to David's for swimming. I doubt dad will come with us so we can just go there for lunch and let our stomachs settle on the way down before we jump in the pool. It is an EXCELLENT idea.
Question: Does sushi taste a lot like fish. It may sound stupid, but I was just wondering if the flavors they add mask the fishy taste (which I personally can't stand.)
Well it does have fish in it and you have fish eggs there, two kinds, the red color on top and orange inside the roll. So there is a fishy taste but if the FISH is fresh (and it absolutely must be) it won't really SMELL "fishy" and it won't be an overpowering "fishy" taste. Just a good one. It's very very good. And the rice and seaweed offer a whole different dimension on top of the avocado. And there's soy sauce you dip it in and if you like spicy stuff (I don't) you'll mix your soy with the wasabi and that will definitely help to mask the fish flavor. I would certainly recommend you trying it.
