Cat Deeley don't need no Emmy!
[I'm pretty ambivilant to awards shows, I don't keep track of them and rarely watch them. I think they're a bunch of bunk about 99% of the time. However, who nominates Ryan Seacrest over this girl? I just do not know!]

She's freaking adorable. And a really good host too! I only watched one season but you can just tell she gets really into it and is truly rooting for everyone. Whatever Emmys! Pstch ;)

She really really does. She's very sweet and it seems like she takes the time to get to know with the contestants, joking with them and just. Yeah. Love her.

Word. I love Cat...she's so positive and caring!

I totally agree, Katie. That's probably why I like her so much!

A lovely antidote to the Idol snark. Although now that Cowell won't be around, I don't know that Ryan will snipe as much....

I love her. They should have taken out Heidi. She wasn't that great this year despite having a great season. Sometimes, it seems that Tim is the host of PR, not her.

Oh it took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about. I've actually never watched Project Runway.

God, I was shocked when I saw the noms! Cat Deely is a big part of why SYTYCD works so well. She keeps the show running smoothly, and I'd imagine she's a great person to have standing beside you when you get done performing and face the judges. Unlike Seacrest, her banter doesn't seem forced, and she doesn't make contestants uncomfortable when she's trying to relate to them and ask them about their lives. Seacrest is a glorified announcer, while Cat Deely is a genuine host.

I think I remember last year when the emmys were actually on and I happened to notice she hadn't been nommed in the category and was just really surprised. [I'd have been surprised sooner if I had realized this was actually a category they had and paid attention to it, lol.] And so this year I pretty much looked at the noms just to see if they snubbed her again, and sure enough! Truly surprising because she really does add something to the show -- a warmth to it, I think -- that makes it unlike other competition-based reality programs. It's not forced or fake, like you said. She seems genuine and comfortable and the contestants seem comfortable with her, and it is a shame she's been overlooked!
