Is anybody else watching The Glades on A&E?

[source.]

I set the DVR to record it for my mom [because all daughters should help their mothers with complicated thingamajigs] and in going through our programs last night I noticed that she hadn't watched any of the three episodes that had recorded. Realizing I knew next-to-nothing about the show I looked it up and the preview actually looked pretty entertaining so I gave it a shot and ended up watching all of the first three eps back-to-back.

It's not my usual fare, being a cop drama and all, but it's actually really funny, fun and quirky. Has a nice little ensemble of characters which include Kiele Sanchez [yes, that Kiele Sanchez, lost flisties], as a nurse. And she's really actually quite good in it.

I'm definitely going to keep watching. I couldn't find any LJ comms about it so it must not be something a lot of people are watching yet.

I thought it was good! I really like the lead actor. He's very charming and funny. As is Kiele's character. I'm looking forward to watching the next couple eps tonight. Yay for more shows! (Is yay the right word? lol Maybe oh boy, another new show?!)

W'oh, boy!

Yeah I think Oh boy is the right term. Eh, whatever. Perhaps it'll only be a 13 ep season. I don't know how A&E does their shows actually.

Did you see the resemblence I mentioned? Or am I crazy? LOL.

Haha no I definitely saw it! I kinda forgot about it after a while though. Maybe cuz I haven't watched as much Grey's as you? Who knows. But I could totally see it right away lol

Yeah true. I'm sure it'll fade in time. Plus I'm pretty sure this guy had more screen time in the pilot episode than O'Malley had in his last two years on the show, haha.

I like The Glades and the lead is charming (but I've only really seen one ep). I hope he doesn't suffer from quirkititis since I went off Life because of too much quirk.

I haven't seen Life or anything, but I'm three eps in and this guy doesn't seem quirky to the point of weirdness. I think they've really struck the right note with him.

And he is very charming.

Good. Because I really liked the pilot, besides the awesomeness of the crimescene-taped golf ball.

Well keep watching. I've a feeling you'll like the next two for sure. I'm hoping the rest of the season is just as good.
