I didn't go to bed until very late last night so I have no clue what the heck I'm doing up at this hour.

I wrote bsg slash last night. Dayl asked me for some Tyrol/Anders slash like, I dunno, a month ago? I finally made good. But in the process of doing so I discovered that m/m slash in the bsg fandom is nearly non-existent. Not like Lost and sure as hell not like SPN (in which het is the dark horse). And if there it isn't, then I'm sure as hell having a hard time finding it! Very weird. It seems like a very slashable show to me. But then again it is an entirely different genre than I'm used to. Maybe the scifi buffs don't dig the man-love like the rest of...

WAIT. What am I saying?!?! The birth of slash lies in sci fi! Which makes this... all the more baffling. *scratches head*

Put up a shiny new header (Tom Waits! So much love!) and color scheme. I'm not sure I like it. I pulled them from the banner, but I'm not sure they work. Ugly? Yes? No? You tell me. I'll probably end up changing it anyway.

I was having a hard time getting stoked about the new TV season, but I'm coming around.

I quit Grey's last season mid-season and have no real interest in starting back up or watching Private Practice. I don't like Heroes or FNL. Though admittedly I haven't even given the latter a chance. Ugly Betty was another trial run that I ultimately couldn't watch despite finding it quirky and fun. And Lost and BSG don't come back until the winter.

Gave a watch (a while ago) to The Bionic Woman and pretty much the only part of it I enjoyed was Katee Sackhoff. It was a snoozer and unless it gets much better I probably won't be watching any more of it. I also watched Moonlight, which was a little too wobbly and shiny for me. It could get better, I suppose, but I'm not hedging any bets just yet.

Also checked out the first and fourth eps of Tell Me You Love Me on HBO. Still not quite sure what to make of it, even after the initial crazy-graphic-sex-omg-wtf-carmen!-shock wore off. I really like the Tim DeKay couple. And Penny is a bitch! Does Desmond know?

I haven't watched The Office yet. It's downloaded... it's just... waiting for me. I did have the chance to check out Dirty, Sexy, Money, and loved it to itty bitty bits. Not in an epic sort of way, but still. It is awesome!

Come to think of it, I've been on kind of a downloading spree these past couple days. I also grabbed Skins, which I know isn't new, but I have yet to watch any of the eps. I also DLed Reaper, Chuck and The Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Billie Piper, what?) And um, I also want to check out Pushing Daisies and finish watching Jericho, which so far I am in show-love with. But, sadly, I am having somewhat of a problem finding suitable downloads for it.

Holy wow. That's a lot of frakkin' TV that I'm going to have to drop out of school to watch. Haha.

I went to bed at 3:30am last night since I was up rebuilding my dad's computer, starting at 9pm, and yet I'm up now and I don't have a clue why but I don't like it. So I totally understand the way you're feeling.

On another note, my goodness you've seen a lot of the new shows. I've seen all of two. And Private Practice sucks so don't even bother.

This is quite true, though I feel my list of there is vastly unrepresentative of what I actually watch. My regs are: SPN, LOST, BSG and Big Love on HBO

I try to catch the Office but you know I'll be the first to admit that I have been a really bad viewer over the past year - I've probably seen less than half of s3. *hides*

So pretty much, right now, with SPN starting up this week. I've got one show. All the other crap is my attempt to find something ELSE to watch while waiting for BSG and LOST to return hahah. And to give at least the pilots of some of the new shows a look, see what I'll be missing if I don't watch.

Pretty certain that Tell Me You Love Me, Bionic Woman, and Moonlight aren't anything I'll be watching again anytime soon. And that's my second reason I haven't really been getting "hyped" about these new shows. I'm either afraid that A) they'll suck. Or B) They'll be canceled. At least Dirty, Sexy, Money managed to surpass A. We'll see if it surpasses B.

I really really like Jericho, of what I've seen (2 eps) so I'll try to catch up on that, but it also doesn't come back to TV until next year. (A gift, in and of itself. It was apparently brought back from cancellation!)

See mine are GA, Lost, Bones, and The Office. Everything else kind of falls to the wayside unfortunately.

I've seen most of Season 3 but missed the latter half of Season 2. The timeslot sucks for me.

Bionic Woman was okay, but I won't be returning anytime soon. Moonlight looks to much like Angel for my tastes. Tell Me You Love Me I never even got around to watching.

Jericho I never tried to watch because CBS cancelled it and then brought it back but it's really only a matter of time before it disappears again I have a feeling, and I hate getting attached in cases like that.

I once heard this thing about him. There were these older women who used to shop at the store I worked in. They were like aristocrats, spent their youths traveling and had some serious potty mouth going on. They always told these crazy stories about their times in Europe when they were young and LA-DE-DAH. Very well-off family and I THINK they were a couple. I mean, they have husbands, but their husbands reside in another state in a house together, and they reside in this state in a house together. YEAH.

Anyway I think one day I mentioned Mandy and they just kind of chuckled (in a non-appreciative manner) and gave each other these looks like,... like they KNEW or something. Said some things that make him seem like he's some kind of big jerk or something. LOL I've always wondered about that.

Yeah I'd say give it a go. Fair warning, the sex scenes (in the PILOT anyway) are pretty shocking. We're talking, hello male anatomy. Actually in episode 4 it wasn't like that. Maybe they were going all out for the pilot? LOL. And I found the rest of the story fairly lackluster. But there is some appeal there. It's pretty unique and candid. I've talked about it with a couple friends and some of them hated it and some of them absolutely loved it. I think it's just hard to peg down. I'm just kinda neutral on it at the moment.

Katee was awesome in Bionic Woman, but I don't think it's a good sign that she TOTALLY upstaged the lead. Jamie was fairly personality-free -- even her little sister was more interesting. I might tune in again just to find out more about Sarah Corvus's backstory, but we'll see.

The only other one I've watched is Reaper, and it was highly entertaining. I'll probably keep watching that one (TV is inconvenient for me so I have to like a show quite a bit to make the committment. :P I so need DVR.).

Personality-free! Yes I totally agree. The little sister I don't know about since I saw the screener of the pilot when they still had the deaf actress portraying her. But I definitely would say that "personality-free" is the perfect way to describe poor Jamie.

Katee was great in it but sadly I don't think it's enough to keep me around. May pop in from time-to-time if you know. It's ON. Hahaha. Oh that's mean. But yeah. I was terribly underwhelmed.

I'm excited to check out Reaper, although i doubt my commitment. If it's good I'll try to watch but I'll probably end up downloading it.

Sadly, you're right: there isn't as much m/m slash in BSG as in other fandoms--which is just crazy because the menfolks are intensely hot and sci-fi is the birthplace of m/m slash--hullo!

You already posted your fic in most of the places I'd recommend (bsg_slash , bsg_erotica , and bsg2003fics). Of course, I absolutely LOVE anders_lee but that one is pairing specific, so not really so helpful. And I think there's a Gaius/Gaeta comm floating around somewhere but that's not really my thing...bsg_femslash is wayyyy active though--lots of girlie action going on in BSG fandom!

It is a gross mis-justice! Where is all the man-love!? I actually found bsg_slash this morning. Took me a while though. Not so much down with the femmeslash but I knew that it was very active in this fandom. I just wish the converse were true haha.
