For those of you that care, and I'm sure most of you don't, but I finally have all my vids streaming in the same place, and, (this is the important part) I updated all my individual vid pages to include an embed. That was painfully time-consuming but I was a little more than slightly tired of seeing yucky imeem ads all over my vid pages. (That site was always so slow for me. Thank goodness it died.)

To the point: You can find them all streaming at http://stupid-happy.ning.com/

I am hoping to make another vidlet soon and I have at least two viable ideas for full-length vids. I'll let those marinate a while. Baby steps.

Speaking of things you may or may not care about, I watched the movie Triangle last night. It had Melissa George, who was great. But, what kind of fucking twilight-zone shit was that? Christ on a cracker! It was very good, mind you, and I'm not usually that spooked by horror movies, but they usually don't make me afraid of myself either. It's complicated. You'll understand when you watch the movie. Which you totally should do. If you think you can handle some mind-bending twilight-zone stuff.

Also, I posted fic today: i won't rot (i won't be forgot), alex/richard, lost, pg13.

Yay for all your awesome vids in one awesome place!

After seeing the Dollhouse finale, I want you to finish that vid more than ever! And ya know, all your other vid ideas. I can't tell you how exciting it is just knowing that you have things marinating hee

Yeah dude that movie was crazy. I have a feeling that the next time I have deja vu it'll be like a million times more freaky than it already is! Eeeek! But it was REALLY good. Sometimes mind bendy movies are bendy in a bad way but this was truly chilling. Don't be too scared *hugs* :D

Yeah I will have to really TRY very hard to finish and maybe re-think that Dollhouse vid. We will see!

It was very good. But it does give a whole new meaning to deja-vu, that's for sure!

Awesome! I always love a good organized vidder. ;)

Oh I actually bookmarked that earlier on my go-to HD download forum because the preview screencaps looked pretty. I think I'll watch it soon, then. I like mind-bendy movies.

Hahaha, I haven't always been such. But hopefully now I'm all set.

And you DEFINITELY should watch. I highly recommend it. I mean, it has well and good freaked me out -- but it was far more satisfying than some other movies that fit into the "horror" genre. When I think about it, the twilight-zone-esque movies always are. They kind of make you think and yet terrify you at the same time. It's not always blood and guts that's the scariest thing.

Yeah blood and guts doesn't faze me. Head getting chopped off? Yawn! It's the psychological stuff that creeps my out.

*runs around in circles* YAY KC!!!

You watched a different movie? How did that happen with the [correct] disc in the drive?!

LOL.

[identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! Haha, I watched Hard Candy yesterday and I watched Triangle the night before, lol. Yes, I did actually watch the movie that has sat on my shelf for years.

It was good, extremely messed up but good. It's no wonder it was a star-turning role for Ellen Page. It was sort of emotionally deceptive -- but at the end it was clear, she was crazy (revenging her friend's death?) and HE was a murderer. So at least there was some clarity there, after all of the ambiguity of "who do we root for" throughout the whole movie.

[identity profile] dazzlebug.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, definitely! I was kinda rooting for Ellen Page anyway, haha. I was really glad for the fact that they didn't wrap it up in a bow in regards to exactly what her relation was to Donna Mauer, like who knows if she was just a friend, sister, girlfriend even. One of my favourite movies--and I hope that doesn't make me kind of messed up, lol.

[identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I mean it was pretty clear that neither of these people were exactly the picture of a "good citizen" lol. But it was definitely a movie without a clear protagonist. That's not something I haven't ever seen before, but it's kind of rare. Especially in a movie like this. (Usually when someone's tied up being tortured, that kind of ambiguity isn't a problem, lol.)

I just spent an inordinate amount of time watching your vids. They're all so good! I think my favorite was "Monsters". My brain is so Lost consumed at the moment and it was a really amazing look at those three.

I might have to add Triangle to my Netflix queue. I don't think I've ever heard of it, but anything that can be described as Twilight Zone-esque sounds good to me. :)

[identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, well thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them! :)

You definitely should add it to the list. Indeed.

Your vids are awesome!!! In fact, I'm sure I saw one recced at [livejournal.com profile] crack_van last week too, just to prove a point :)

Yeah someone commented to that vid and told me. I was very flattered!

Thank you!
