It wasn't a rumor, sadly. This is the last season but they're having a mid-season break for an as yet decided period of time. There will be another 10-12 episodes to round out the season, but when the hell it will air, nobody knows.

Apparently they're filming the 2-3hour finale right now so they've just about wrapped up production. But sci fi is greedy and wants to hold the rest of the eps until, whenever they feel like it?

And theories are that they'll probably release season 4 as a 2 part DVD like they did with season 2, which of course makes them a lot more money. As opposed to selling it as one.

Greedy bastards! How can they make us suffer this way?

ETA: General consensus is that the next eps won't air until 2009.

I think they're just trying to milk the last season. Stretch it out as long as they can. I'm not sure why. It's a network decision apparently and not a production decision. I'm sure Sci Fi has something to gain in that respect, otherwise why would they do it?

Selling the box sets as two, they are much more expensive than one. One box set is probably around 45?ish? But if they split the season up and sell it as two, they can charge about 35 bucks for each, or something to that effect. Depending on where you get them.

Hahaha, well he totally did sneak information to Roslin about D'Anna's happenings. And he took Baltar to see D'Anna. So that's something. He stopped Tory from smashing her pretty little head on the base star floor... annnd... he TRIED to agree with Roslin there at the beginning. LMAO. And he stood hotly next to Kara at the end! ZOMG!
