The past few weeks I've been re-watching Veronica Mars and I have a random, completely obscure question for anyone who may have watched the show.

Toward the end of season two, do they ever explain why Mr. Manning paid to bail out Lucky, the janitor/former bat-boy who was after Woody Goodman? (Mr. Manning is Meg Manning's abusive father -- if you remember Meg was played by Alona Tal.)

Either I haven't gotten there yet or I missed it the second time around. I'm super curious about this!

I need a Veronica Mars icon, darnit.

ETA: Someone from the [livejournal.com profile] veronica_mars community answered. It's not super exciting, I'd just forgotten all about it. Here's the answer if you're curious:
Meg tells Veronica earlier in the season that Lucky is a friend of the family. He does handyman stuff for their family and her father just loves him. There's not much more to it than that.
