amathela put together an awesome vid recs list for me over here. I couldn't be more pleased. Almost all of those are fandoms I'm only slightly familiar with and each of the videos is just wonderful. You should definitely check it out and go watch the vids!
→purestvixen is hanging out at FanExpo this weekend and she proved that she is the queen of nice by getting this: 
→ Writing and vidding this weekend are a no-go so far, but I did get a chance to catch up on Stargate Atlantis and I watched The Shrine (5x06), and holy mac & cheese, it was awesome! It made me cry, several times. The scene with Jeanie and Rodney especially sent the waterworks flowing. Both Kate and David were amazing in this ep. Which just goes proves that she is officially their best recurring guest star ever. I hope she'll be in this season some more, seeing as it is the last one. *sadface* And of course the McShep was through the roof. The sense of family throughout the episode was very real and it certainly made the cancellation seem that much more heartbreaking, which may have been where some of the tears came from. (No, no, it was really just that awesome.)
→ And speaking of other things I'm doing besides vidding, I have a really crazy idea for a Carnivale vid. I'd have to edit the song quite a bit but it just may work. And it just might be the most awesomely bad thing I've ever done ever. FAIR WARNING.
