krickets: (FILM. goonies never say die;)

The Fall: I finally saw this movie after having it in my possession for months. It was gorgeous. The little girl was adorable. There needs to be more Lee Pace in my life, people. I will see anything he's in at this point. What a beautiful man.

I'm Reed Fish: I don't know why but I really liked this cute little movie. The kind of movie that makes you wish you lived in such a quintessential small town - despite its dysfunction. Katey Sagal was really good in her small part. Apparently it's actually written by a guy named Reed Fish so I'm assuming it's somewhat autobiographical. Schuyler Fisk was completely fantastic in it and I think it resurrected my secret desire to be a bonafide redhead. Jay Baruchel is so skinny. Totally irrelevant. Very cute and worth seeing.

He's Just Not That Into You: So it was cute, but I'm not sure how much I actually liked this movie. It was nice to see Ginnifer Goodwin as someone other than Margene Hendrickson from Big Love, but I'm not really sure how much I liked her character. The best part of the movie is the storyline with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Aniston, I truly liked that pairing. And speaking of skinny, did Ben Affleck look way too skinny in this movie or what? He looked way too much like his brother and that's not good. They're built in completely different ways. It was strange. I feel like I'm the only person who has noticed this.

Fanboys: OMG This movie sucks! *stabs it repeatedly*

Push: So I really, really liked the premise and I might have a little bit of a thing for Chris Evans, thank you [livejournal.com profile] falseeeyelashes, but the execution fell way flat. Dakota was awesome in a more grown-up role. Swearing and everything. Go her. And I surprisingly really enjoyed Cliff Curtis who incidentally was also in Sunshine with Chris Evans! Again, irrelevant. So aside from individual performances and a great premise and some neat effects, the movie wasn't so awesome. But if you're bored, I can think of worse ways to spend a lazy afternoon.

Star Trek: Wee! That was fun! And nice to see on the big screen. I'm not a fan from way back, never seen the series or any of the older movies the whole way through, so I'm not quite sure a sequel would hold my attention but you never know.
