Lost comes back tonight. I still haven't decided if I'm watching it this week. But in celebration, a poll!

[Poll #1520348]

I think thats why Damon and Carlton love Ben/Michael Emerson so much. Because he's like the ultimate stall or bullshit character. All the 'secrets' he says he knows about the island can all be fake, since he is a titan of lying.

The magic box! I think they may have forgotten they ever brought that up. ;)

You mean the Magic Box that Giles opened up with Anya?

Yes, I remember things from TV shows that are nearly a decade old but not from Lost. Blame it on the show's nature of WTFuckery every 5 seconds.

Wasn't it a metaphor?

Ah well some things can't be explained away by Ben's lies. Many, many things. But not even close to all. Haha.

I think they forgot too.

Hahhaa, yes indeed. That's why it's so funny.

Didn't "the real mr. sawyer" say he was driving in traffic one second, and the next second he was on the island? That's some powerful metaphor!

But that's because they knocked him out and he didn't remember. I understood he had some kind of accident and was taken to the island being unconscious.

I think it's pretty confirmed it's a metaphor. but who knows at this point...

Maybe in fandom discussions or interviews -- but definitely not in canon -- I mean to say they never explained HOW that man got onto the island.

Umm... Ben has said several times it was a metaphor in canon. Of course, there was the fact that John didn't believe it was, which means it could have not been. Pity Locke is dead, though, because now it seems everything he ever believed in was meaningless.

Okay - I better stop making me miserable hours away from the show!

I always took it to be a metaphor, but I get what you are saying. It might as well not be a metaphor at all. You know - I don't think they remember that man at all. That entire story is so choppy. Cooper should have been like ninety if he really was Locke's father, and what was a con man doing sleeping with a 16 year old girl. Guh. I so hate that Cooper storyline.
