Random observation:
So many shows that I was watching have ended in the past year and a half.
Lost, Ugly Betty, Battlestar Galactica, Harper's Island, Stargate: Atlantis, Eastwick, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Pushing Daisies, Dollhouse.

That's a lot of shows. It's so weird to me to file Lost in that imaginary "past" column in my brain. So weird. Plus all of that? I feel so bereft. It's kind of depressing. More than kind of.

*ponders the meaning of life*

→ On a more depressing indie movie note, Winter's Bone looks really good:

→ Watched the live show and Mumford and Sons was amazing at Bonnaroo today. Amazing. God, I love that band.

I know it really has been a sad time in TV for me. I feel like I still watch too much TV though, haha. I still want to watch Treme which I haven't yet and I need to re-watch the pilot of The Wire. Which apparently takes a few eps to get into. And there's this other HBO show that's coming up that I want to watch too and it has HENRY in it, lol.

Those were alot of endings to alot of great shows. It's so sad. And I have so few new shows to fill the empty slots with. Still need to catch the 2nd season of Pushing Daisies because I'm sure it's amazing. Now I'm just watching old HBO shows to fill the time. I've liked what I've seen of Treme so far (I think I'm a couple episodes behind though), and can't wait for Boardwalk Empire. And The Wire is The Wire. It's slow paced, it doesn't have alot of action, and things take awhile to build--but I LOVED it. I can't really describe what it is, it just had me hooked.

Nice movie find! Looks verrry interesting. It's on my list to watch.

That movie looks so good, and I am impressed with their (southern?) Appalachian accents. Way to represent! \o/

It is! It is amazing! You need to watch it!

Boardwalk Empire looks awesome. I really need to get more into The Wire. I hear the payoff is well worth it in terms of experiencing a great show.

It really does look great!

It is a great payoff. At every single season finale it's an awesome payoff. It's considered by alot of critics as one of the greatest shows of all time. In many ways, I concur.
