Jawyercita is one of my cracked out non-canon totally inappropriate incestuous ships consisting of Jack, Claire, and Sawyer from Lost. The word "disgrace" comes from a Damien Rice lyric from the song Accidental Babies ("the mild issue of our disgrace") that was once was on a Jawyercita banner I made. It kind of stuck.

So I kind of love the White Stripes. Unhealthy amounts. I would marry Jack White if I could. This picture is from a Nylon photo shoot and I just love it. I love their signature style, I love the shot, I love them. There is just so much love here that I cannot express it. And I've been trying to get a couple of my very talented RPF flisters to write some Meg/Jack but no takers so far! Why?

Okay so back at CE we all used to get on MSN and I can't remember who it was, but one day somebody said, "brb, text." Which I thought was funny and random. So, after that I kind of helped perpetuate this "brb, < insert random object/reason here >" phenomenon. I made a batch of icons of some of my favorites, and this is definitely a fan favorite. 2. by iconsbycurtana Eeyore! I love Eeyore. When I was growing up, both of my siblings were utterly infatuated with Tigger, but Eeyore was always my favorite. I think I indetify with the depression and the insecurity and the dry snarky wit.

I was having fun experimenting with coloring icons when I made that one and I really loved the way that image turned out, with the sharp gold of her hair against the muted colors of the rest of the picture. The text was just an impulse thing; the image is from Four Aliens and a Baby, her S3 return, which is all about how the rest of the Pod Squad comes to forgive her and understand her motives, so it's a little ironic.

4. again, by me! An almost completely unaltered screencap from an episode of the Chronicle. That scene just makes me laugh hysterically; Tucker and Wes can't get through to Sal by phone to warn him about the alien STA (Sexually-Transmitted Assassin), so Tucker desperately IMs him with the message "For God's sake do not have sex with her!" It's just so...incongruous. It makes me laugh. I love it.

5. one more by me. ;D Jeremy & Juliet Darling from Dirty Sexy Money -- they're twins, and my nonsexual!OTP. After Juliet confessed in a recent episode that she was a virgin and just let everyone think she was a slut because "it's easier", kawaiispinel theorized that Juliet was asexual and Jeremy was her nonsexual life partner, and furthermore wrote a really fantastic fix exploring Juliet's romantic-but-not-at-all-sexual feelings for her twin brother, and it has now become my fanon. As far as I'm concerned? Total nonsexual life partners.

6. by poisonyoulove A common complaint on the asexuality community is people responding to statements of orientation with "asexuality? like an amoeba?" This icon and a ton more like it were created in tongue-in-cheek response to that. No, human asexuality isn't quite like asexuality in amoebas, but still. Asexual and loving it!

7. by franken_stein Animorphs quote, something Ax said once. I use this icon a lot, because people are continually destroying my faith in the species by doing intensely stupid and irrational and/or prejudiced things that make me *headdesk*.

1. I adore The Breakfast Club. And it's especially glee-filling because my boy right now really loves John Huges/80's movies like TBC as well. So yeah. It's my 'loved' icon, especially being in highschool.

2. THE BEST SCENE EVER. I'm not even kidding you. Baltar and Boomer from Battlestar Galactica. It's so twisty and dark and sad and beautiful in every single way. Honestly, this scene makes me just cry; it's done so freaking perfectly and subtlely. It's depressing and so enigmatic.

3. I'm not a Pam person. I'm a Karen person. I think Pam actually really is sort of a bitch. I can't wait for Karen to come back and kick her ass. This is my meanie-telling-the-hard-facts icon.

4. (Quoted from before) "My snarky badass icon. I added it before I even watched Bionic Woman at all, but I love how Katee can portray her whole character's attitude in this one shot. Plus, Oregon girls represent!" That, and I love the warm colors and the piece of hair over her eye.

5. Blair and Chuck from Gossip Girl; a still from an upcoming episode. Their history and relationship kills me with potential, as people with a multitude of issues who've grown up together and know each other so freaking well. It looks like such a sweet scene, and I can't wait to see it. This is my 'boys cans ometimes be pretty awesome' icon.

01. This is Mark Thomas DeRosa, my Cubs boyfriend who used to be my Rangers boyfriend. Because it's not the name on the front that counts, I still love him. :-) The keywords for this icon are "My lovely quarterback," because Mark was the starting quarterback while he was at Penn, as well as being a darn good baseball player. *g*

03. This is one of the first icons of my Husband that I collected. There's a serenity in his face here that I love and rarely get to see during games. (This shot was taken during batting practice, I think.) I don't use it that often these days, so thanks for reminding me how lovely it is. Of course, my boy doesn't take a bad picture.

04. This is my dear friend and college classmate Gordy Quist. The original picture is much larger than this, but I've always been fascinated by his hands. One of my favorite icon creations, I must say.

05. Oh, Bradley David. This is Brad Ausmus, my catcher. The shot is cropped from his studio portrait from the '06 season. I have a thing for forearms, especially his. They're, well, magnificent. Guh.

07. This is from Sports Night, a wonderful television show that was ahead of its time and was canceled way too soon. The women in the icon are Dana (Felicity Huffman) and Natalie (Sabrina Lloyd). They're best friends, and this hug is very poignant. (I'll be happy to tell the whole story if you want to read it.) It's my default love/comfort icon, as you know. I think it's the way Dana's holding the back of Natalie's head. It's just very warm and soothing to me.

1. made by me. Ginger, from the movie Gingersnaps. Preclude to an extremely sisterly bond moment between Ginger and Brigitte. The scene is made of awesome, but then the whole movie is pretty much the best thing ever.
2. made by me. One of the rare Alpha Gaeta moments. I love Felix; I really think he is a big damn hero, just as much as several of the more touted heroes on Galactica. And so stoic. And SO VERY gay for Baltar. Love.
3. made by me. From the unbelievable BBC show Life On Mars. Just an entertaining little moment, and perfect for when you want to politely tell someone to Shut The Fuck Up. The text says Silence Is Golden.
4. made by me. Oh, Jammer. You fucked up... This was just such an emotional scene, and one of the sorts of scenes that BSG sets itself apart from the more mediocre sci-fi out there with. I mean, this is some serious mind-frakkage, for all parties involved, and it was done harrowingly yet credibly. Kudos, show.

5. Ah. Carla Gugino. My very own moment of vanity. I loved her as Karen Sisko, but thing is, I look like her. She could be my sister or cousin,that sort of similarity. So, well. I thought I needed a girl avatar too, and hey, did i mention i loved her anyway? And i got an unholly love for silk and poppy red combined with black, so aesthetically it's just pleasing. The line is just.. well. I added sth for colour. Not of any significance.
6. Ash is (notice my tense use here, IS NOT WAS. I'M IN DENIAL) So Ash is totally cult. I love him. He is so smart and quirky and nice. All just him. And too many layers that we should have been seeing. Damn you, Kripke. The line is sth that made me crack up. I think i saw it on a t shirt or sth.
7. I needed a Dean icon. For some reason the way he was in that lighting the grave scene, with the flame in his hand and the shadows swallowing him...just...i loved it. I came up with the line because i like word play. I was in a Pratchett mode that day i think.

1. hahaha washington lazer-beams. my best friend sent me the video, and i wanted to icon the shit out of it, but i only got this one. and i didn't even make it ha. but i love it.

2. oh, sad desmond. i use this when i'm not as depressed as the crying kate one (ps. HOLY SHIT YOU MADE THAT ICON IT'S ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITES AND I NEVER KNEW). you know, when it's one of those lying-in-bed-eating ice-cream-the-whole-day kind of moments.

3. yaaay, as tall as lions. they're this alternative rock band out of some eastern state which is totally AWESOME. i saw them live once. you know, i sort of thought they were the disillusioned, big-headed type of people, but i looked through the photo gallery on their website, and they're just so, so silly. this is the bass player, julio, outside some mcdonald's (which i cropped out cause i hate mcdonald's)

4. this is from such dear frankie, a movie with gerard butler that reduces me to tears every single time i watch it. there's this scene in the movie, where the mom is looking for a man to pretend to be her deaf son's dad, and she goes into this bar and runs out all panicked and scared, and spends the rest of the night crying on a park bench. this is the morning of the cry-fest, where she's just all alone.

5. my teamwork icon, or just my general happy icon. i love the two people in the icon, because they contrast so much and yet look so comfortable with each other. plus, i love their faces.

6. aah, rhcp. i love this band too, and they're crazy and funky and fun. i made this from a cap of the can't stop music video, because it's just weird and the bucket is so yellow. i love it!

7. from blacksad, a pretty amazing comic. one of the best 'furry' things i've yet to find. anyways, this is from a scene where this woman is just crying and crying over her kid, and blacksad doesn't know what to say, so he just holds her for a while. it was beautiful, even in comic form. I LOVE THIS ONE TOO
