Big Love 4.06, Under One Roof

This episode gave me the heebs. It is by far one of the creepiest episodes to date. I think I said the following to Dayln after watching it, "I am appalled, I am horrified, I am shocked, I am dismayed."

Frank and Lois are total schmucks. I'm so pissed that they've put Benny in danger like that. Just. What? Why? Some people are too dumb to live. YES. I SAID IT. Jodeen, I think, would echo that sentiment.

I love her delivery. "The boy is tall and pretty."
I love that she can speak and understand Spanish fluently.

Nicki was really awesome in this episode. Beyond awesome. In every way.

I am so sad for Dale. That whole storyline is just too heartbreaking.

Regarding Alby, as much as I want to feel for him, I find it difficult to feel sympathy for a man who could seal Cara Lynn to that old creepster in this same episode. Not to mention everyone else at the motel. Someone who one minute comes out to his sister, listens to her, despite her beliefs, tell him she loves him unconditionally regardless, and then in the very next breath delights in torturing her with very bad news. (Something he, himself, is making happen. Something he could stop if he would so choose, but won't.)

There is something wrong with Albert Grant. I think that part of it is some kind of acting out due to all of the repression he's subjected himself to his entire life, and that is only going to get worse now that Dale has offed himself. I fear what he will do now. It's not that he isn't a tragic and interesting character. He is. I was really taken aback when he was so rapt with the thought of not having same-gendered attraction in the afterlife, there was such an innocence and purity in it, such guilt too. It was sad. And then saying Dale is his destiny. It gives this whole new layer to him. But at the end of the day, when he's still doing these just plain cruel things, things that are just wrong at the most basic of levels, religion aside, I think Bill is right about him being a sociopath.

Not that I don't have my own issues with Bill.

I am torn about Ana. I really loved her character and I think she could have brought something new and interesting to the family. But the way they're bringing her back is very out of the blue and hard to appreciate. I'm glad to see her, but I'm suspect of what it will mean for everyone.

I was sort of disappointed not to see a Barb/Tommy scene this episode. I totally think she's going to have a revenge fling with him after finding out about Ana and I personally am all for it.

JJ is just creepy but I seriously thought Adaleen was going to stab him or something.

ETA: Wanda's parents! How creepy were they? What the H did they do to that girl?

Wow, this got long.
