ETA, Mine: I played with a lot of friends, so we always had conflicting ideas.

My barbies were always somewhere else, the jungle, a beach, locked in a foreign prison trying to break out (no really!), etc. etc. Sometimes they'd just be at home. And of course there would be lots of knocking on doors and big plans for dinners and parties with the neighbors!

There were love triangles to be sure especially because the Ken dolls were in such short supply. Strangely, my two Ken dolls never dated each other but you know that is what they would be doing now if I was still playing! Of course there was sex except I'm pretty sure at first I didn't know what the heck that was and they'd just be laying under the covers together. Hahaha. Lots of head-tilting make-out goodnight sessions after dates by the door.

There was always a vindictive evil barbie, and I'm sad to say, it was usually the one that was ugly cause I'd done something stupid and tried to cut her hair or accidentally put permanent marker on her face. Hahaha.

I was Barbie obsessed until I was about twelve or thirteen. I had a four-story dream house, a car, tons of clothes and furniture and at least ten or twelve barbies. It was awesome.

I had lots of orphans and mean girls storylines with Barbie. One winter a friend and I played "Swiss Family Barbie" in the closet, they would swing on belts and stuff for vines and try to climb the shelves for trees. That was fun.

Seriously, once I figured what sex was (which was at a young age, it's kind of disturbing now that I'm looking at kids that age), they just never stopped. Sex here, sex there. Sex in the bath, sex on the bed, sex on the kitchen table.... My mother was like 'I'd really rather you didn't leave your barbies in those positions where people can see them...like, really'.

well it was me so there was sex but mostly my barbies were either in prisoner of war camps, on African safaris in my backyard or living in the 1800s. My mom made my barbies a ton of pioneer clothing. I had skirts and sprpns and bonnets, it was crazy. I didnt have the dreamhouse but my sister and I always made do with what we could come up with. We even built a castle out of sesame street encyclopedias.

Innovative! I kind of liked building the houses! I used to have these cupboards for my mini tupperware set and sometimes I would clean that out and make furniture things. Heck I think I even turned over some of the tupperware to use at tables! LOL.

I take it back, this is my favorite poll. Only I have no idea how old I was when I gave them up.

I used to make Barbie and Midge make out in addition to Barbie and Ken, and I feel like I would have made the Kens make out too, but we only had the one. And I probably assumed friends Ken dolls wouldn't really go for that sort of thing.

Um, there was definitely a lot of slow dancing and driving to the beach to have wicked bonfires.

For some reason this made me laugh out loud. In my house where everyone is asleep at 1:30 AM Hahaha. LOVE IT. True. Bonfires were so where it was at in Barbie-ville. Barbecues too. Ken can grill a mean steak don't you know?

I only had one Ken doll (who I renamed Christopher, for some weird reason). Him and his wife, Sparkles/Sasha (Sparkles when I was very young, changed to Sasha as I got older) lived in the bigger barbie house with three horses (no CAR, though) and their...geeze, let me think...five children? I had this thing for some reason about how all my Barbies had to be related somehow. All the adults were either siblings or cousins or something, except that one I think I made be the live-in nanny (but it was like she was a part of the family!)...also, Baby Spice was totally living with them. But she was one of the parents' cousins! And there was a smaller house, that the family also owned, and some more of their relatives lived there, like Christopher's two sisters, and their one cousin who was totally supposed to be Princess Diana in disguise, because Princess Di and had just died recently and it made me sad, and I was completely convince my Ballerina Barbie looked just like her. Also, Christpher's two sisters were evil bitches. For no reason.

They pretty much had a lot wacky domestic-flavored adventures, like the kids kept running away, or the horses got stolen. Though there might have been something with aliens once. I don't really remember.

I had a resurgence of playing with Barbies when I was at art school. It was for ART. I posed them and took photos and stuff. One time I made a very tasteful black and white wedding portrait of Barbie and Ken.

Yeah, now that you mention it, kind of like what I do now with my Doctor and Master action figures.

My Barbies were usually poor, Russian and on the run from evil landlords or living on a deserted island. One of them, Birthday Barbie had this ugly fro and mullet hairdo and was shunned by the other Barbies. I found a Ken doll in an airport phone booth once and he only had a pair of shorts on. I never had any other clothes for him so he couldn't appear in the Russian stories - too cold - but he did well acting as a servant on the deserted island!

I had an awesome Jeep for them (strange... I have a Jeep now. That I love. Coincidence?) and they would play on the beach a lot, aka kitchen floor. They also did big concerts and wore very little clothing when at the beach house, aka shoeboxes with washclothes draped over them to connect them. I also liked to play soap opera style and have them get into major hair pulling and slapping fights over my Ken doll. Probably because he had this HOT silver sparkly muscle shirt.

I am keeping my barbies and their accessories for when I have daughters. I only had three Ken dolls. One was blonde and then my older sister mutilated his hair by shaving it off lopsided and then one of his legs came off but we still played with him. The other one had non-plastic hair and really cool clothes. The third was your average brunette )plastic haired) Ken. Then we had mostly the blonde barbies. But I did have a Sabrina, Jasmine and Ariel!
My favorite thing to do was set up all the elaborate sets I had (bathroom, bedrooms, chairs, dining set and have parties/dinner parties. THEN THEY'D HAVE SEX! (After I found out what it was.) And also rock concerts. My barbies had guitars, and we'd make 'em perform Ricky Martin music.

You know Plastic Winchesters? Idk why people don't do plastic BSG or Buffy or whatever. They so should. I'll put that into consideration. I have, like, 20 barbies and 3 Kens. I could do it... *ponders*
