I saw the best bumper sticker today! It said:

01.20.2009

bush's last day

For your pleasure:
Loose Lips, Kimya Dawson
Let's Impeach the President, Neil Young

And by the way? Who the frak is RTD?! I keep thinking like r2d2 but... I'm pretty sure that's not it. Thanks!

And people don't like him? Or...?

Erm... well people sort of get angry at him. I always assumed it was normal showrunner grudging fan respect/loathing, but it's possible it could be more than that. Idk, I try to avoid Who fanodm; too much drama (even for fandom drama levels).

I haven't noticed that in many of my shows really. I mean I personally don't like Kripke very much from SPN fandom. But I think that for the most part the showrunners are pretty well-respected especially with cult shows with devoted fan followings. I mean, I'm sure there are pockets of disappointed fans but I haven't truly noticed a general consensus of loathing, lol.

Unless they drop off the face of the earth or something.

But I know that guys like Ronald D. Moore and Joss Whedon are generally well-liked.

RTD = Russel T. Davies; creator of Doctor Who and if I'm not mistaken, also Torchwood, from which this gorgeous canon boykiss *points at iconage* comes. mmm Jack/Ianto... I'm not into slash but those two? mmm.

2009? That long??? That's worse than a BSG hiatus. How long does election run in the States anyway? That thing has been going on like, forever.

The actual election hasn't happened yet it's just the primaries which decide who gets to run in the general elections which happen in November of this year and then the president has almost three months to clean out his shit before the next guy gets inaugurated.

Thanks for the info. 3 whole months to clean up his shit??? wow. In Canada, you're like out of there within the week.

We sell the countdown clocks at the shop where I work. We keep them right by the front counter; I love watching people's reactions.

When we first got those, the days were over a thousand. Customers have seemed progressively happier as time's gone on...

Bahahah. Nice! Dude I so, would buy one of those mugs but I see their back-ordered until February. Which... sorta defeats the purpose.

Ironically, he's going to screw over the economy even more by leaving, because suddenly the undoubtedly massive amounts of money being poured into anti-Bush merchandise will be no more.

I've seen a few of the "end of an error" stickers 'round here. Makes a nice change from the pro-lifers and the "How to get to heaven: turn right and go straight" type folks.

Not to mention the people who STILL have Bush '04 on their cars. O.O For a "blue state" we sure have a lot of red where I look. (But we have a few rainbow flags, too, so all is not lost.)

Yeah I was surprised. We're pretty red over here.
