What the bloody hell is going on in St. Paul?

This is what happens when you don't watch TV and are away from the internet for days at a time. The world goes crazy when you're not looking!

This is just sick. I'm watching Dark Angel which is the dystopian future America where the police and government have tons of power (and corruption) and freedoms aren't there and I just think, is it really that different now? Or what it could be?

Sure, some of it was radical anarchist group(s?) which caused most of the problems.

But arresting members of the media? Surrounding the house of a news group who was in St. Paul specifically to cover the police handling of crowd control and whose footage of protests has gotten arrests overturned in the past? That has nothing to do with the anarchists who broke windows.

I dunno. I really don't care for media either, lol.

A bunch of people who use situations like those extremists, in order to display an idea they WANT to spread? No different than propaganda. Sounds too familiar to Michael Moore's code of ethics.

Media and people who squirm for the attention will use whatever they can to further an idea. I

I don't know, some of this seems like equal parts the cops just trying to handle a situation (and failing at it by arresting innocent members of the media and people watching musicians in the park, etc.) And part of it, the home raids and the I-Witness thing, seems much more like what you're talking about here.

And yeah, it's definitely scary.
