I couldn't really put my thoughts on Sarah Palin into words, but thankfully Jay Smooth of illdoctrine.com did it for me.

Here are a couple of quotes:

"Wow! I expected her to give a good speech, but I didn't expect her to be so snarky, and condescending, and hostile. Dude, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering. Why you trying to take us on the path to the dark side, Sarah Palin? Is this how the McCain-Palin administration is going to handle working with congress? Is this how they're going to approach foreign diplomacy?"

"The difference between a community organizer and a politician is that community organizers are the ones who take the responsibility upon themselves to help their fellow citizens without the benefit of the government budget behind them and go out there every day doing the hard, thankless work to make this country livable, which is what allows you politicians to be able to go on TV and brag about how this is the greatest country in the world. And for you to go on that TV show and spit in those people's faces for the sake of a rhetorical flourish? Is disgusting."

Thank you, Jay Smooth! Watch the video! ♥!

Couldn't have said it better. She was downright snarky! But then again, it's always the team that is behind that finds it necessary to fight dirty and they still loose.

Really?

Is it any less vindictive and cold as what Barrack and Hilary have said about republicans?

Sounded like the same ol' nasty political rhetoric the Dems have been throwing at Bush and the like for years. I really don't think there is a high road in our partisan bias country.

I've been paying attention to the elections off and on since the primaries. So believe me, this isn't a statement on the entire republican party. Nothing I've read about McCain or his speeches has struck me as insulting as I found some of her comments last night. I mean, in all these months he's been running! And yet she's been on the ticket with him, what, six whole days? I think that says quite a lot.

And you can better believe when Clinton stooped to making snide remarks I lost a lot of respect for her then too.

I lose respect for all of them. Politics always seems to trn from high aspirations to a Paris Hilton vs. Lindsey Lohan "OH NO SHE DIDANTT!!!" bickering. And Obama was straight out the gate with the insults and his own narcissistic view on himself. His speeches remind me of Tyra Banks. "ME!!! MEEEE!!! MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"

Obama is nasty. McCain is nasty. What i find the most peculiar though, is after watching so much garbled politics for years, I've noticed one thing that makes me just despise the way the Democratic party runs its campaigns. "You can dish it out, but you can't take it.". One of my biggest pet peeves is people who have a victim complex. And the Democratic nominees and spokesmen ALWAYS cry and moan that they are being picked on by the big ol' Republicans. When they spend years of comparing a United States President to Adolf Hitler or, okay this i find a little funny, a vampire.

In that respect? I appreciate the Elephants ability to take the heat. The Dems? Not so much. But thats just one little annoyance of politics. I think if the Democratic party could toughen up and not play the victim card, I would probably vote for Obama. But since they are not, and he's definitely not -- I won't.

Its sad that i voted the last two times, and this time i won't. I'm just so disappointed that every election the partisan bullshit gets worse and worse. You're not voting for an ideal or a person to lead, you're voting for your favorite baseball team. BECAUSE OUR TEAM ROCKS AND YOURS DOESNT!!!! BOOYAH!

But the saddest part is that our country is in dire times. And instead of rising to the occasion and making a true effort, they slide back into the partisan game again. Truly pathetic. Obama spits rhetoric like Bill Clinton and McCain, well, i still cant get past the fact that everytime i watch him speak or hes on the news, im watching to see if hes walking right. Does he need an apple juice? I look at him like a person in a retirement home. I mean, if I can't even get past that, how can i even pay attention to what the hell it is hes saying?

Oh.... politics.. If only every comedy show was like South Park. And they just made fun of everyone. Cause they are both so full of shit.
