I've been following the dude for a while now (not in the literal stalker sense) and I've been nothing short of impressed by him. Awesome awesome awesome.
He's a democratic US Senator from Illinois. He's been getting a lot of notice ever since he became Senator which is kind of rare considering how fresh he was. I THINK it was summer of last year that TIME magazine posted his face on their cover (icon I'm using now) - but the text where I've put '08 actually said, "The Next President." And ever since then he's been getting this monumental buzz and long story short, he officially announced his candidacy for president yesterday.
I love just about everything he says and his track record proves that it's not just talk. He gives me hope. I think we need that right now.
