Yeah we were actually talking about that at my house while watching. I think it's definitely a case where things were happening simultaneously, so there's really no way to know.
It's probably one of those "limbo-I'm-in-a-coma" things. I'm sure. Otherwise they'd have to re-name the show, "Grey's Dead Anatomy." Haha. I have used that joke like five times now. It's still mostly funny.
