Nov. 18th, 2008 09:51 pm→ TSCC?
First, Kendra Shaw is not to be trusted. Not even with declarations of love being tossed about. Or at least forever togetherness. Whatever. Toe-may-toe. Toe-mah-toe.
Second. No! Ellison! No! AHHHHH!
Third? The three dots? Now that's confusing. Could dying-future-guy have been more cryptic? Ptsch.
Fourth? I loved Cameron in this ep. Loved. All her talk about feelings and things she doesn't understand and not being cruel. But also? When she turned Ellison over? Hahaha. That was so great. I loved the Blade Runner references right from the start. That was so well referenced. I mean, we've all heard that question. (I assume.) But have we ever really thought about the AI who doesn't understand why that's something humans would do? This came at it from an entirely different perspective and I loved that.
Fifth. Sarah's dreams and her visit with the shrink. That was interesting. The whole breast feeding a tortoise thing was weird though. (That's what Cameron was doing in the dream, right?)
And sixth. The whole changing the future thing is scary. Have they made things worse? The things that they have done? Spooky thought.
I'm noticing that my reviews of this show are not so coherent and more about just joy and reveling in it. I like that.
→ I've come to the conclusion, during discussions with an anonymous source, that Taylor Kitsch just isn't very photogenic. He looks nice in a lot of his modeling shots, but with still frames and screen grabs from Friday Night Lights, etc? They just don't do him justice. He's one of those people who looks better in motion than in a single shot. Everything that makes him pop and sizzle on the screen just fades away. Is anybody feeling me on this?
I think Gale Harold can (sometimes be) like that as well.
→ Random thoughts. I mentioned to
slybrunette on twitter recently that I'm an optimist. Later, I was talking with a friend, and I was noting just how many people I know who are pessimists. It really makes me feel like optimism is kind of a rare trait. I guess if I really think about it, I'm probably equal parts realist and optimist. So, what about you? Optimist? Pessimist? Realist? Some combination of the three? Is optimism actually as rare as it seems to be?
→ I worked extra long hours today and will be for the next few weeks leading up until Christmas. We have almost two weeks off and I don't get paid for them so the only way to have money come January will be to work extra hours now. This should be fun. Who wants to take bets on how cranky I will become? (Having to work a normal amount of hours like normal people? Say what?)

Date: 2008-11-19 02:56 am (UTC)Sadly, Taylor Kitsch you are a motion man lol and definitely Gale Harold as well. There are very few pictures of him that do him justice. But he's so damn pretty! Gah!
Me = pessimist. We all know this lol You can have the rest of my glass, it's half empty anyway ;)

Date: 2008-11-19 10:49 pm (UTC)Heh, that's awesome. I feel like in some ways I've always been an optimist. But I definitely feel that more and more these days. Everyone's so negative. It makes me sad for them!

Date: 2008-11-19 10:52 pm (UTC)I was seriously mad at Ellison but he thinks this chick is one of the good guys. He thinks she wants to stop whatever is going to happen. And it looks like he's in a for a rude awakening! I just hope that doesn't involve death.
Well he's pretty in that picture! And a lot of his modeling shots that I've seen look great. But for the most part, especially in screen shots, something is different hehe. Like snooks said above. Some people just move sexy. hehehe.
:D
