Other stuff about LOST:
Other stuff that kind of bugged me:
- Ben is not Jack's keeper, or BFF, or his momma. And if Ben flushing his shit breaks him of his habit that's just cheap and easy storytelling.
- Snake-lady at the end. I was so ready for her to morph into the smoke monster or a giant reptile or something. Also, casual viewers won't remember her. I know because I asked my mom, who has seen every episode of Lost, and she had no idea who she was.
- Hurley's not that big of an idiot. A little goofy, sometimes not too bright. But, seriously? Cheech and Chong's Weekend at Sayid's? No.
- Sun being kind of a bitch to Kate. Saying she forgives her but obviously having issues with the whole thing, etc.? Huh?
- Sun wanting to kill Ben. Say what now? Didn't see that coming. Not sure I care.
- Ben being the messiah - yet again. Hey everybody he's planning to hunt down Penny because he was too much of a pussy to risk his own life to save Alex's. I fucking hate his ass. GO AWAY.
- Locke being all "hey wassup, guys" even though he's a psycho.
- Alliteration. Juliet and James. I think I'm going to puke... fire or... snakes or... razors or rotten eggs or something.
- Sawyer's going to get skin cancer.
- I didn't see (missed the first 15 minutes) but I heard that Sawyer hit Dan? And threatened to hit Charlotte? WTF? SAWYER? You know not what you do!
- Other others-es.
- All the "she is going to die" foreshadowing in Charlotte's general direction.
Good:
- Hurley trusting his gut and choosing to be arrested instead of going with Ben.
- Hurley's confession to his mother and her reaction.
- Charlotte and Dan. You know, except for the part where he doesn't tell her what's going on. MAN UP, DANIEL!
- MILES.
- Richard. (For the few short seconds he wasn't channeling Ben.)
- Ethan.
- The moment in the elevator where we got to see Kate actually being a mom to Aaron - say what you will, he needs a mother - rather than being all "mine, mine!" with him. Which is how I've felt her interactions with him have been in the past.
- I liked Sawyer saying what he did about the people on the freighter. Almost vindicates him for being an abusive jerk earlier.
- ANA LUCIA. I knew the cop was going to be her. She was delightful. How come dead!characters are always better than live ones? Also, Libby says hi, snerk.
- Jack and Sayid. I don't ship them but it was practically the only scene that made sense to me in this entire episode. YAY for that.
- Richard telling Locke to GO AND DIE. (Sort of.)
- Sayid's badassery was lovely.

Date: 2009-01-22 05:16 am (UTC)I'm with you, if Ben flushing Jack's pills is all it takes to break Jack, I'm going to be very angry. That's just weak.
Yeah, seriously, Sawyer needs a shirt.
Yay Ana Lucia!!!

Date: 2009-01-22 02:14 pm (UTC)Dan did seem to be a bit of a Debbie Downer in this. "Nothing we do matters so we should probably just forget about it." Even though he was wrong about Desmond not coming to the door.
So weak! "I was just going to do that myself." Hahaha, no. He's not stuck on an island without his dealer like Charlie was... and even that wasn't played too realistically.
Yeah I was, I think, one of the few who didn't completely hate her when she was on. But I absolutely loved her appearance last night. And Michelle looked beautiful too.

Date: 2009-01-22 02:23 pm (UTC)Well my true issue doesn't involve alliteration itself. It involves alliteration between James and Juliet. Which is a pairing I dislike almost more than Jack and Juliet. Which is a whole hell of a lot. Of course I have Juliet issues as it is... so the obvious pairing off of those two in this episode brought major eyerolls from me.

Date: 2009-01-22 08:57 am (UTC)Well, I *do* ship Jack/Sayid and you'd better believe I approved of that hospital scene!
Sayid's badassery was lovely.
Oh, yes. Yes, it was. :)

Date: 2009-01-22 02:25 pm (UTC)Yeah that was a GREAT shippable scene! Hey if they keep behaving like that I might just ship them too. (By like that, I mean like two people who know each other, who are still who they are, whose dynamic I still recognize.)
I was saying, he should jump hurdles in the Olympics! lol.
