Big Love 3.05, For Better or for Worse

They have to win her back, right? I mean, all three, Barb, Margene, and Nikki seemed to like and really get along with Ana once they each got to know her and spend time with her. But maybe they're not right for her instead of vice versa. It was weird to me that there were certain things -- like pooling their money -- that Ana wasn't told before agreeing to marry them. Not exactly the best way to go about things!

This, my only Big Love icon, is way too happy for that depressing ending.

:/ I was sad to see Ana go, too. I thought she wasn't staying but I never thought the thing would crumble so fast! I didn't find it quite believable, either, so... :( Poor Ana. I liked her! I want to see more of her dynamics with the wives!

Yeah it was way too fast. And yeah it was really strange and careless the way that she didn't know anything about their day to day lives and how major issues like finances etc. are handled. It just seems silly that she wouldn't have been clued in on some of this stuff.

I really liked Ana a lot and I think everyone else did too. It's a shame it didn't work out. I really would like to see the actress stay on, but I have my doubts. I felt the worst for Barb! Saying that she finally had a friend. Maybe she and Ana can still be friends? Who knows!

RANDOM: I also don't like Margene's wig. That is a wig right? It sure looks like it. Maybe they borrowed it from the set of lost, hardy har!

It IS a wig. It is like Claire's wig last season in Lost. It is so... scary and ugly, really!

I agree. I wish Ana could stay, really! I liked her. I think that if they were going to use her to tell us about how getting a new wife is, they should have extended it a bit more! But they tell me they had to cut off 2 eps due to the strike last year so I don't know :/

I know but if possible it's slightly worse than Claire's because I think it's much lighter. Looked even more fake if that's possible.

2 eps cause of the strike? Seriously? That really sucks! Especially because the strike ended over a year ago right? I mean it started in Nov. of 2007 if I'm remembering correctly and ended at the beginning of 2008. Mid-january or mid-february?

That's what I heard! I found it kind of strange, too. Maybe this season was actually written last year? and shot? That would be terrible! Because, what about next year?

Hahaha, there was what? A year and a half or more between this season and last? I'd be shocked if we got season 4 next year. Maybe in the fall/early winter of 2010!

I expected it to fall apart, yet not quite so fast. The fact that none of the details from bank accounts to living arrangements were discussed in advanced spelled disaster for any relationship. Then throw in the special polygamy stresses - no wonder it didn't work. I think this is for the best. Ana is right about what they have is balance and her presence upset that from the beginning. I liked Ana and often was screaming "run" in my head whenever I saw her, for her sake and the others. I'm interested to see what the fallout of Ana, especially around Barb’s revelations of how she thinks of Nikki and Margie, will do to the three wives.

Yeah the lack of communication about those kinds of things seems almost improbable. There's definitely no way it could fall together so easily with no one explaining these things to her.

I also think that if Bill hadn't sent Ana to live with Nikki that it probably wouldn't have fallen apart so quickly. And Bill was pretty absent here. He says "Ana is my priority" and yet he wasn't acting like it. He should have waited to have the ceremony until he could have taken the time to really be there.

Yeah I'm really wondering how Barb's going to come out of all this. I felt worse for her than anybody.

"No 4th wife" was kind of a mantra I had while watching. But the way she left was sad. She really had no idea what she was getting herself into. She either should have asked or they needed to all have a big discussion on how the family works. Neither was done.

Dude, I was getting pissed off right along with Anna. How could they not tell her this stuff? I mean...she didn't know how anything (from pooling money, to living arrangements, to Bill making final call on practically everything, to Barb assigning duties, etc) worked. I'd have been fucking mad, too!

That said, I'm sad if she really goes...I hope they win her back, cuz I like her a lot and I like how happy Barb is around her (poor Barb, she's never happy, seems like).

...although, to be honest, Sarah is stealing the show for me, lately and I'm feeling for her big time. :(

Oh, and Margene's new hair is making Hairdresser!Jen want to cut herself a little bit.

Seriously, Margene's wig is fug. I dunno maybe bright blonde wigs just don't work? LOL.

I like Ana too. I have a horrible feeling she won't be back though. But I am crossing my fingers!

I'm really hoping things work out the best for Sarah. I'm also liking her storyline this season so far.
