Funniest moment of lost last night,

My mom, who has seen every episode of this show, turning to me and going, "Who's Shannon?," after they found the inhaler. Genuinely confused.

Oh, Lost. Only you.

Generally speaking, I don't like the big fat crazy-brush they're painting Claire with. But I don't have much more to say about the episode than that.

I finally got my magazine btw! Yay!

LOL. The first thin I said when I saw that inhaler was "THAT'S SHANNON'S, DUDES!"

I've never been a big fan of Shannon, but I was kind of looking forward to seeing her appear again. I guess not.

I liked the episode, and even though I really like that they've got Claire back in the game, I think her whole life is pretty fucked up. She's become this crazy murderer and she's being fed absolute bullshit by "her friend". I don't really know what to think of this. Maybe it's due to the fact that she said she'd kill Kate if Jin had been telling the truth, but yeah. I don't know.

My mom's not in fandom -- which maybe makes all the difference. She just WATCHES the show. She doesn't talk about it. But it was hilarious that she, until I explained "you know, Shannon, of 'Shannon & Boone' from season one?" did NOT know who the hell Shannon was.

I was bummed that her instinct would be to automatically kill Kate. That just seems so irrational to me. I mean, what Kate essentially did was rescue Aaron. She was the only one who could take him because they LIED and said everyone else died in the crash (and Aaron sure as hell isn't Korean). Anyway -- and the whole creepy skeleton baby? Ick. If a man had survived in the island -- being hunted and branded by the others -- for three years (essentially) on his own. He'd be painted as friggin' Indiana Jones. But a woman does it and she's a nutcase who cuddles a creepy hairy skeleton baby at night. Just NO.

Interesting point. If that was Sayid or Jack or Michael or anyone else, we'd be freaked out (well, maybe not Michael). Even Rousseau was really scary at first.

My question is, where can Claire go from this? Can she be cured?

I may be unpopular but I did think it was wrong of Kate to lie about Claire's baby and pass him off as her own. I don't think she should die for it but Claire has a right to be angry.

I guess I feel that Kate had no choice. Even if she hadn't wanted to be a mother, because of the lie that was decided they tell, she was the ONLY one who could pass off Aaron as her own -- saying she gave birth on the island after the crash. There was no other choice. I suppose he could have gone with Desmond and Penny and disappeared -- but for whatever reason that didn't happen. And because of that lie -- she was pretty much stuck with him. I'm not saying she wasn't okay with it -- we don't actually know how she felt about it from the start -- but even if she hadn't been okay with it, she was the only one that would have worked with. She was his only option.

Yeah, Aaron's existence does unravel that whole lie, I suppose. I'm not okay with that whole big lie but they all agreed to it so . . . now I'm so lost myself. I'm not sure what happened to that timeline--the three years with Kate posing as Aaron's mom---all still exists. Is Aaron three years old somewhere where present-day Claire could find him again? I suppose it exist does off the island. But then in another world she's about to give birth to him again so it's all a bit confusing to me.

Ahahaha really?! Granted she died not even halfway through s2 but still, I would think she she should be fairly memorable. I guess it just goes to show that if you pile on enough bullshit, any character can get forgotten! lol Oh Lost is right.

Guess what? I looked through my magazine again today and they're STILL JUST AS HOT AS THEY WERE YESTERDAY! HOTTER EVEN! IT'S AMAZING! <3
