→ My fic is prophetic? So the brother and sister duo [as much of a duo an estranged brother and sister can be] finally met up again in this ep. I don't know how to feel. I was thrilled, and yet still a bit disappointed. BUT! They shared scenes in the really real world and in the sideshow world! I'm officially calling it the sideshow now, for future reference. So the part of my fic [and the only part] that is prophetic would be the "which time?" question. I'll take what I can get, okay?

I am too far behind so clearly I had no idea what was going on. All I know is that Jack and Claire shared a frame. More than once! My mind! It reeled! And Sawyer and Jack did as well which makes me just as happy. And they discussed Claire! Together!

Too bad their conversation was like "OMG SHE CRAZY! SHE CAN'T EVEN COMB HER HAIR! LEAVE HER!" And then Jack goes and does it like a chump. She's your sister, Jack. Why you gotta make Kate teach you how to behave like family? [Go, Kate!] Come, on.

As the ever astute gigglemonster said, "Show, you're doing it wrong!"

And that is, quite literally, all I have to say about that.


→ I was supposed to write tonight. That didn't happen. Maybe in the morning before work. I will set my calendar.

→ I am coming down with a cold. Started with a sore throat two nights ago and then again last night. It is now migrating to other areas. Sneezing and upper congestion is commencing, this will probably end up lasting all week, moving from place to place until it is deep in my lungs and I have filled an entire garbage bag will used tissues. FUN!

→ Why does watching Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution just make me want to eat everything in my fridge? He keeps saying "tasty, wholesome, fresh meals!" Etc. It's like not-so-subliminal messaging. My stomach is listening, Jamie, although I'm sure it wasn't your goal to get me to eat more.

→ I watched this BBC 3 special about tanning under tanning beds/lamps etc. Holy yuck! I don't feel it was the most informative program ever, but it was certainly enough to scare you. I don't know all the ins and outs of it and how damaging it really is, but why risk it, I say? Here's some info about what the World Health Organization says about tanning beds.

Hahaha WORD. I'm hoping Jack has realized the huge error of his ways by next week. Or I will be very displeased. Maybe the sideshow will get it right at least. Here's to hoping.

I saw in the trailer, Jack and Claire looking into the same small mirror and smiling.

I was expecting Claire to go all backstabby on Jack since Smokey clearly fed her the brother line. And he was creepy leaving with the "You two have to catch up".

Jacks character has that refreshing quality that makes it really stand out this season. Everything else seems so regurgitated, but thats Losts theme. Beating things into the ground. So his enlightened hero path is kind of exciting to watch. I've always said Jacks character is the most consistent on the show. And its proven in spades during this crap final season. The stories suck and everything is getting ridiculous, but Jack is still kicking the character stuff at the audience like its the first season.

I don't know there's part of Claire that seems extremely innocent and hopeful still -- but then she's clearly brainwashed. I don't believe that she's been "infected" as they claimed. She just seems too human underneath all that fucking hair...

I have heard so many good things about Jack this season and I really should try to catch up on this show. Perhaps this weekend.

I think I may be coming down with a cold too which is why I fell asleep so early. But I have Zicam and it will defeat all evil germs!

ETA: Your mood icon. Wow! I don't even know those people but was completely distracted by them in that tiny box on my reading list. :-)

Yeah I am trying to see that as the bright side, lol. I also get the feeling that Claire and Sayid are not completely lost to us. I'm hopeful.

I think I waited too long to go the Zicam route.

I think I preferred the alt meeting between Jack & Claire to the island meeting, but that could be because I have no idea what to make of island Claire, atm.

As much as I loved Jack this episode, I was WTFing at him hardcore for leaving Claire behind especially after she tells him she trusts FLOCKE because he never abandoned her. It seemed so un-Jack like to ditch without even trying to get her to come with them, what Sawyer said be damned. So yes, I concur GO KATE AUSTEN, BE THE AWESOME ONE.

I'm just coming off a horrid cold/flu combo, so my sympathies! They are with you. ♥

Also word on the Jamie Oliver. I watched it once and then went into my fridge for mint ice cream. OPPS.

Seriously, every time I watch it I am starving by the end of it. Especially when they make his stir fry, lol. Next time I should watch it just before dinner or something. That way my hunger makes more sense.

Sawyer and Jack really disappointed me when they decided just like that to leave Claire behind AGAIN. I felt cheated. Poor, poor Claire. And who is Sawyer to judge anyone, actually? When did he became so self-righteous?
But it was overall really good episode. JACK AND CLAIRE HAD SCENES TOGETHER. AND SO MUCH CLAIRE IN BOTH UNIVERSES! AND SUN AND JIN REUNION! AND SAYID NOT BEING SO EVIL AFTER ALL (I don't believe he killed Desmond.) So, good. But yeah, they're doing it wrong with Jack/Claire/Sawyer. They should read more fics.

I don't believe he did either. This was definitely one of the better episodes I've watched this season. Now I just need to go catch up.
