Hahha, I'm curious as to what you mean by that. To me this single line means that the lost writers are full of shit. Haha. But if it makes a good fic then I say go for it!

hahaha, well, they ARE full of shit, but I'm trying to focus on the positive here. ;) I don't even know if I'm sure what I mean. It's just that it's exactly the sort of gaping plot hole that I think I could have fun with in a fic. :)

Why yes, I am comment interloping: I feel like a jeary, sad story about Jack feeling inadequate and useless is necessary. That's how I read it, at least. Like... they're all meeting, the candidates, and Jacob's telling them "what they died for," etc.etc., and Jack's all "I'll do it!" and Jacob has to go: "Sorry, you fail and are not on my list." That sort of thing.

YES! Exactly. I probably won't write this, but I'd kill to read it. It would make my life. ;)

Also, there was an interview with Darlton in this week's issue of EW and I read half of it before I started ranting incoherently. I think that's progress. Maybe.

(seriously though, they think their ending was "meaningful and uplifting." WTF? Someone needs to make a vid of the sheer amount of death and meaningless character/life manipulation and juxtapose against that frakking church scene and we'll see how "uplifting" that ridiculous ending really was. /end rant. I really have to stop thinking about this.) ;)

I heard about this interview -- didn't know it was out yet. Apparently it's not as enlightening as it was supposed to be? Hehe.

Stopping by because this makes me nostalgic. Hating Lost.

Honestly, this show is so full of ass backwards, complete filler nonsense. JJ and Damon wrote an awesome script for a show that should have been only 2-3 seasons. A arc that was bendable enough. But honestly, i think this entire 'heaven' light thing was there from the first pitch. It is so cliche JJ campy character story. And there was this story about a light source. Which has infinite avenues to expand and detail that story. But Darlton didn't. They focused on the retarded mainstream ideas. Pimping out to more audiences. So... yeah. I feel really bad for people who thought and hoped deep down, to a unrealistic level, that there would be a magical answer. But this shit fell apart when season 3 started.

I knew there was no ultimate satisfying answer. No real cohesive or even intelligent answer. I just had an inkling of hope that some kind of satisfying story would happen. And that was a character one. Which to be honest, was how much i gave up on this show. The tiniest morsel saved it for me. Because it had been starving me for years.

I don't believe that for a single second, lol.

However, I do still have a lot of fondness for the show -- but it pretty much all lies in the potential that it never lived up to. I loved the last shot of Jack in the woods. If he had to die at least it was beautiful. [The stuff before it in the cave was a snooze-fest though.]

Obviously I'll always love this show, but I can't even take comfort in the "character ending" because I don't feel they did MOST of the characters justice. It was mostly just a nostalgic look on "who they used to be."

Ah, bless. Poor Pickett, the only way they could stop him from stabbity-stabbing Jack from sheer jealousy at his awesome ability to maintain head-hair stasis with THE POWER OF HIS MIND, was to tell him that Jack just wasn't on the list.

Or, you know, maybe Charlie washed up there and scrawled the name of his major mancrush on the walls without knowing what can of worms he was a-opening there.

Fneh.
