→ Is anybody still watching Sons of Anarchy or Boardwalk Empire? I haven't heard much rumbling about them since their seasons started. I'm curious as to how their seasons are going even though I'm not watching them anymore. I was truly disappointed with the first three episodes of SOA but I can't say I don't wonder what's going on in and around Charming.

→ I'm thinking of giving Terriers another try. Since I posted that TV list, two of my shows have ended for the season, one has been canceled, and I never watched another episode of The Event, haha. Maybe I need to make another list.

→ Why, when I actually have writing to do [[livejournal.com profile] angela_weber], do we get surprise house guests? All my free time this weekend, stolen from me. Boo.

Im still watching SOA. The last 2 episodes were fast paced / a lot better than the beginning of the season. Things are starting to happen now, and everyone actually knows where Abel is.

Hmmm, maybe I'll wait it out a little longer. See what I hear.

It may be easier to wait for the dvd to come out, so you can have a marathon. Sometimes a week break really does take a viewer out of the story.

Maybe. We'll see. I was sadly disappointed with the first three episodes. It actually depressed me because I had liked this show so much in seasons one and two.

I remember Lost really bored me the beginning of S3. I wanted to give it up, but I pushed through and am glad I did cause the time travel bit was my favorite arc.

I'm still watching Boardwalk Empire, though I agree, I haven't seen people mentioning it at all around LJ. I wouldn't say a lot is going on yet, only three episodes in, but I'm enjoying it.

Terriers, on the other hand, is one of my favorite new shows, and I strongly reccomend it, as it's only gotten better. I really like it a lot, and hope you grow to enjoy it if you do decide to give it another try. God knows it could use the extra viewers.

I actually DID enjoy it a lot. The last episode was a little meh but I was trying to cut down my TV viewing. Now that 2 shows are over and 1 was canceled, I probably can make room for it in my schedule again.

I'm still watching Boardwalk Empire, although I am now behind (thanks HBO, Showtime, and AMC for scheduling three of my shows at the exact same time). But I do really like it.

Yeah? I may wait until the season progresses further before making any decisions about whether to watch any more of it.

Might not be a bad idea. I'm like that with most things, truth be told -- I don't know why I picked this up right off the bat but I don't regret it.

I think there were some things I liked about the pilot. I liked Michael Pitt's character but that my just be because I like Michael Pitt.

FYI I used to always get confused and call him "Henry Pitt" because he played a character named Henry on Dawson's Creek, haha. I just couldn't ever remember his real first name.

Anyway, but there were other things about the pilot that I definitely did not like. So I hesitate to get my hopes up about it. I'll wait a month or so and see what people are saying then.

Can I ask what it was that you didn't like? I'm just curious; I don't actually have strong opinions with this show so it's not something that's going to like set me off or anything.

I'm either not a fan of the character, or not a fan of the casting of Steve Buscemi, I can't really tell.

And generally it was an overall tone thing that kind of bored/irritated me or both -- part of it worked and part of it didn't. Nothing I could put my finger on precisely.

Ah, well that would be a problem.

Well both. Issues with the, well, essential lead and then tone issues. Those are just not minor things, you know what I mean? I know what I mean.

I'm still watching Boardwalk Empire and it's HBO's usual slow tempo so I can't give strong opinions about it either way. It'll hold me for awhile b/c it has a couple of actors I like and I'm quite partial to HBO shows, so I'll be sure to let you know how the season's arc goes.

I haven't seen the latest two episodes of SOA but I know what happens and I really don't like where it's going so that's probably it for me.

I never got around to watching the Terriers pilot but I was thinking about doing so.

Haha, I totally understand, get to the fic whenever you have time!! Irritating how rl gets in the way of the important stuff. ;)

I feel weird about only watching one show live this season. I was kind of intrigued by Boardwalk Empire, but I don't know--I'm not sure if I want to start watching something new when I have all of this DVD-watching to do!

DVD watching is always more fun anyway.

Terriers is the only new show I'm genuinely excited about/look forward to seeing every week.

Rubicon is ending next week I think, but if you're looking for new shows it's been pretty amazing if you like conspiracy stories. James Badge Dale is the real draw though. ;)

Yeah I think I'm going to catch up. I've only missed a couple eps I think.

Rubicon. I've heard of this and only for James Badge Dale because I loved him in The Pacific. I will have to look into it. See what it's all about.
