When it’s done and Tyler looks at himself in the mirror, he notices that there’s a gash on his stomach. Not a deep one; he probably did it to himself while in the cellar. It’s already healing and while it isn’t anything life-threatening, it will definitely scar. The thought makes him feel sick; then he realizes that it’s just the first of many and he barely manages not to throw up.

He wonders if Caroline has any scars, too, but who knows. Maybe she also can heal magically and her skin gets to stay flawless. It’s stuff he really shouldn’t be thinking about, but lately he either thinks about Caroline or about the curse, and if you ask him he’d rather think about her.

When he sees her at school, he feels a sudden instinct to push her against the lockers and kiss her; at nights he might have dreamed of her teeth scraping on his neck and fuck if it should not turn him on.

Except that it does.

Sometimes she looks back at him and then tears her eyes away just after, like she doesn’t want to be caught staring at him because there’s hunger in her stare, and if Tyler has jerked off a couple of times and thought about that look as he did, no one is around to witness it.

It happens at her place. He had dropped by just to talk, she had let him in and it had ended with her pinning him against the wall because he kissed her first. The kiss had been brief and possibly half-awkward, but then she had moved and now her hands are pushing his wrists against the wall and he can’t move.

And fuck, he likes that she’s stronger than him, like this. He could and would probably hurt her if it was a full moon, but like this he’s practically helpless, and the way she’s staring at him, he thinks he’ll combust.

“We can’t do this,” she says, and her tone suggests that she wants to do exactly the contrary.

“Bite me,” he answers, and then her leg is pressing against his crotch and she’s covering his whole body with hers (she looks tiny in comparison to him but it doesn’t feel like it right now) and she’s staring at him like he has just asked something very stupid.

Which he probably did.

“You’re insane,” Caroline replies, but doesn’t move. “I could kill you. And sorry but I’m not really sure I should drink your blood.”

“I trust you. And you don’t need to drink it. Just – I want – do it,” he blathers, and damn but there’s so much hunger in her eyes, and he pushes his hips forward against her as her teeth bite on his neck before moving away, careful not to touch his blood with her tongue. He’s barely breathing when she kisses him, hard and merciless, and it might be because she doesn’t want to even see his blood, but Tyler gasps into her mouth and moves against her, his hands clutching at her hips.

It feels too good to stop, and who cares if they shouldn’t.
