Oh! I almost forgot. You know the litte yellow draggy thing at the top? You can stretch that over a certain portion and it will ONLY render that section (this is one of my FAVORITE new things - no more rendering the WHOLE vid just to see if a very small section fits).

I did look at Trisha's tuts--that's how i figured out the split screen..did a couple with jack/juliet side by side, but couldn't fit it with the video i was doing....read about feathering--i liked the hard line on that plane/others slipt, but i'll try it on the jack/juliet shared clips. *breathes
I LOVE the contrast--and now that i know how to not fuck the whole timeline with effects it should be all good. One thing..i you know the media bin thing..well there was an explorer option that i clicked out of, and now i can't get it back..and i WANT it back lol. It's hitting 2:30 so i need to get to bed, but i will stalk you later-you made my week/month/year ♥

OHHH and i think i have yet to use the trimmer..all my clips were made for me by renlim and are just jack/juliet scenes that are basically pre-cut from full episodes. When i get the clips in the timeline i find where i want them and split the clip-throw out the left over. I'm sure it is wrong, but dude-this shit isn't easy day one LOL

No it's not wrong at all. Trimmer for me is easier to browse the whole episode because it doesnt' break them down like WMM does. But you can select a particular section and then save it to your project media file so that you have it there when you need it. It's pretty neat. At first I thought I wasn't going to like the trimmer, but it turns out I really do. You don't HAVE to save them into your project media though. You can also just drag the selected portion into the timeline. Man, this is a lot of Vegas talk! But no worries, I'm as intrigued by it as you are!

Awesome. I'll try to figure out how to get back to that explorer thing and I'll get back to you on that!
