I'm not sure how I feel about these last two episodes.

I can't honestly say that I didn't like them, however, the complete 180 I've done on John Mitchell is astounding to me. Much of my turnaround started on The Longest Day, but looking back, I could have been disappointed with him a lot sooner. (Say, 3.02?) That is, if I had been paying attention.

For me, aside from the opener where it was all Mitchell (and some Annie), enjoying this season was all about George and Nina and their awesomeness. I don't know how it happened but I went from being meh on George and mostly liking Nina to cheering them on and loving them at every turn.

Annie is another story. She has either been "very good" or "very bad" for me. She kind of stands on the line. MOSTLY she's good but she can quickly fall into the bad. There's not really a lot of middle ground there. And while I applaud her for not lying to herself about Mitchell and for doing what she thinks is right, I kind of find the whole thing a little weird (aiding in the investigation against him and yet committing to "rot" away with him? IDGI!) and consequently I found her a little hard to take. In the back half.

I guess the biggest and most shocking thing I went from loving Mitchell and shipping him and Annie to not being able to stand the sound of his voice. (Maybe it is all the whining?)

However it is a short series and I marathoned it right before season three started, so my "time" with it has been relatively short. It's not like I had any hard-drawn alliances or anything. But these past eight weeks have turned me into a person who is not at all sorry that John Mitchell is dead. (Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah!) Yeah, I did just do a little mental cheer. I guess I am a bad fan?

So my gut reaction to hearing there will be a fourth season is that I probably won't watch it? If John Mitchell is resurrected from the dead somehow at some point, I'd kind of rather him stay dead to me.

I realize this sounds horrible but, man, I have never had such a strong negative reaction to the direction they've taken a character I once loved. The smack down is harsh, but it is most definitely real.

i think it's confirmed aidan turner won't be a part of season 4 because they actually had to write the actor off the show.

Oh gosh, I am so relieved to know I am not the only one!

With him gone I think I might consider season four. Depends on how I feel when that rolls around again.
