Day 1 & Day 2

I will never finish this if I literally do one a day so I'll see if I can take them two-by-two!
Day 1
How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?
The first fandom I legitimately wrote fic in was Dawson's Creek. It was almost all Pacey and Joey. And it's all completely gone. Vanished. I think I maybe wrote a half a dozen fics? One was a WIP Joey/Pacey that I never finished. Sadly. And P/Jo as we called them was definitely what pulled me in. But truthfully, my favorite fic I wrote, and it was probably terrible, was this AU Abby Morgan/Dawson Leery multi-chapter fic. I don't know how I ended up shipping two people I more-or-less hated, but it happened. And it was glorious. I think two people in all creation might have read that. I think that was the start of my random-ass-pairings fetish. Seriously. Dawson/Abby. We all have to start somewhere, right?
But actually come to think of it, the ladies who wrote for places like Pacey Porn (which was an actual legitimate website -- although, BEWARE I think it's actually a porn site now) wrote for every pairing you could think of -- and I think that may have also influenced the random/multi-shipperiness of me.
Day 2
Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
- Dawson's Creek / Unknown (maybe 6?) / Nope!
- The Vampire Diaries / 12 / Very much so!
- Lost / 87 (+2 Crossovers) / Yes. Not as much as I should.
Only one of these is multi-chapter (Jack/Sun!) There are fics of a series that live in the same 'verse, but they were all written as "one shots" or "one offs."
- Dollhouse / 5 / I'm not ruling it out.
- Harper's Island / 5 / I kind of doubt it as the fandom is pretty much dead. But maybe!
- Battlestar Galactica / 20 (+4 Crossovers) / There is always the possibility but I don't think I can bring myself to do it.
- Big Love / 1 / No
- Community / 1 / Doubtful
- Firefly / 2 (+2 Crossovers) / Not ruling it out!
- Friday Night Lights / 1 / I have some ideas but I don't think they'll ever see the light of day.
- Fringe / 2 / Probably not. (Both were Olivia/Charlie - go figure.)
- Grey's Anatomy / 4 / Perhaps!
- The Hunger Games / 1 / Eh, maybe.
- Life Unexpected / 1 / Nope.
- The Pacific / 2 / I wish, but probably not. And if my record still holds I'm the only one to ever write those two pairings.
- RPF / 1 / No.
- Stargate Atlantis / 3 / Maybe!
- TSCC / 1 / Probably not.
- True Blood / 1 / Unlikely
- Supernatural / 5 (one is multi-chapter) / Never again.
- Veronica Mars / 1 / Unlikely
- Y Tu Mama Tambien / 1 / Nope

Date: 2011-06-28 03:22 am (UTC)Pacey/Joey was such a wonderful ship. I remember very little about that show, but I do remember loving the Halloween ep they did that was like an homage to the Blair Witch Project, Andie, and the Pacey/Joey ship. Everything else has fled my memory.

Date: 2011-06-28 01:57 pm (UTC)I had this one awesome idea for an Angel fic where Angelus inhabited Lindsey's body and Angel and Angelus finally got to meet face-to-face (and hand-to-hand, cause you know it's always about the action sequences.) But alas, I never wrote it.
