Battlestar Frakkin' Galactica

kricketsI just got finished watching the season three finale of Battlestar Galactica and I'm seriously losing my mind.
I just... I can't... comprehend.
I won't spoil anybody here. But can I please just say how much I fucking love this show? I mean, love beyond any show I've ever loved, ever. And yes, that includes LOST.
I was chatting with Dayl yesterday or the day before and we were saying how now that we're watching Battlestar, it just makes every other show we've ever watched look like they're produced by a bunch of chumps.
I believe her words were, "My brain just shrinks down to: 'OMG! I love BSG!'"
And that pretty much sums it up.
I just love every damn thing about it. There's always so much more going on in one scene than what's actually going on in that scene. And I love storytelling in that manner. It's just... ah, beautiful.
Other than Firefly this is the only SciFi show/movie/anything I have ever liked, ever. The format is so different than anything else in that genre, the people, the stories, the way they're told, the way its shot, etc. etc. It just feels relevant, I'm able to connect with it, it lacks that coldness, that sterile atmosphere that I find so jarring with most sci fi, it just feels real. I don't really know how else to explain it.
I wish I had some nice wonderful way to wrap this up, but I don't, so I'll just say that Battlestar Galactica is by far the best show I've ever seen in my entire life and everyone (everyone) should watch it if they haven't.
