damn it's good to be a cylon
Aug. 7th, 2007 02:15 pmA warm cylon welcome to the picspam. They salute you.
Snuggle in and get comfy.
Look at all the pretties!
You know this guy already.
Meet Sam Anders. You haven't met him yet. Consider this your formal introduction.
You must have known this was coming. Yet another love triangle. I think I can live with this one.
Stinkin' cute!
BONUS!
in the front and in the back
55 seconds of the "frak song." not sure what its real title is or who it's by, but it's glorious!
lyrics
yeah, i wanna frak
in the front and in the back
and then we'll resurrect
you know we keep it fresh
damn, it's good to be a cylon
cause we're droppin motherfrakkers
all night long
i'll hit another six
gaius, stupid bitch
you got one in your head
but i got twenty in my bed
like a porn star
on this base star
motherfrakkers watch a spread eye
side to side
like a racecar
frak you! frak her!
motherfrakker back up!
i'll frak you from behind
like you're katee sackhoff
yeah i wanna frak
in the front and in the back
and then we'll resurrect
you know we keep it fresh
(etc.)
yeah I wanna frak
there ain't no earth, anyway!
motherfrakkers!
peace.

Date: 2007-08-14 03:28 pm (UTC)I don't remember what happened. I was goofing on YouTube like usuail, ran into some clips. (Not vids.) Straight out of the show. I say to myself, "why the hell are you NOT watching this show you idiot?" And I proceed to download the miniseries (which kicked off the show) and fall in love with it. To itty bitty bits!
It's still sci fi. But it's more relatable and real, I'd say. It's not a comedy like Firefly. It's definitely a drama. But it has a kind of Firefly/The Office sort of feel to it in the way it's shot. Kind of a psuedo-docu/guerilla-style filmmaking. And this even carries through to their special effects and the "space shots." It's very pretty to watch anyway.
I always found sci fi to be so inorganic and sterile. The sets, the shots, the characters, the actors, the dialogue, the stories, all of it. But this show is pretty much as opposite from that than you can get. And it's glorious. The characters are so real. And they're REAL characters. Not just some guy in a suit you know. *loves it so much*
I'll point you in the direction of my Starbuck vid so you can kinda get an idea of what I mean. Although it's an ensemble cast so it's not representative of the entire show. I think it gives you an idea of how they approach their characters.
Holy shit I talk to much. In other words? Watch it. LOL.
