→ I've been watching Legend of the Seeker for the past two weeks and am finally all caught up. Though I did just find out there's two weeks until the next episode so that's a bummer. I should have watched the episodes a little more slowly. Anyway, I would definitely recommend it. I'm going to have to get some icons or something. Haven't really joined the fandom yet due to trying to avoid spoilers. And here's a pretty, pretty picspam of the opening scene of the pilot by
ohvienna.
→ Lost, lost, lost. I am lost. And, is this a spoiler? Despite the presence of two of my favorite people, I really hated the last episode. Exponentially. I am so, so tired of this season I could puke. At this point, I am only watching out of habit/fandom/personal obligations. The little things that annoy me don't just go away because a new episode airs. They only serve to annoy me more as time goes on. In short: Dear Lost Writers, if you can't add/subtract/tell time, try to avoid writing about time travel, dumbasses.
→ I watched Harper's Island last night. I really like the idea of a self-contained single season. Plus I figured I would enjoy the mystery novel "who-dun-it" premise. It served that purpose. Like I told
sol_se, I wasn't expecting brilliant, just murder-mystery fun. I'll watch again next week. I'm looking forward to the characters' awareness that something is awry. Things will probably get a lot more interesting once the panic sets in.
→ There were a lot of premieres this week for being April, weren't there? I didn't watch Southland or The Unusuals. Though both look pretty decent actually. I read a review that said they blank out swear-words on Southland. Hah. I wonder if the DVDs will have the un-bleeped version?
→ Did I mention I also finished this season of Big Love? Well I did, and I loved it. I really liked Come, Ye Saints especially. The scene in the back of the car with Wayne and Raymond, hilarious. It's about time they gave those kids something to do. But yeah, this show just gets better and better. When is season four? Soon, I hope. /wishful thinking.
→ I am still not caught up with Friday Night Lights. I have no idea why. Maybe I will wait for the DVDs to get caught up. I heard it's been renewed again. My thoughts on that are mixed. First, I'm happy that such a great show is being renewed. But I probably won't be watching for the long haul. The fact that it's been said that Tyra and Lyla will be leaving just makes me annoyed. That's four of our original cast members gone. I am really not interested in watching the high school version of ER. If our main characters were a band of teachers and administrators (instead of one coach and one principal) I probably would have no problem with the students moving on. But that's not what this show is about.
→ Why is this entire post about TV? ANSWER:
crickets waits too long to post about stuff so by the time she does there's a million things in the queue. I would promise not to do that anymore, but I can't be sure I'd keep it.
