Favorite Vid: Scratch. I don't know if I have a reason for this.

Least Favorite: I'm answering this first because it is, hand's down, Times Like This. I just look at that video and absolutely cringe. It is all over the place and just, ugh. I dunno what I was thinking.

Most Successful: God I don't know. I think that my promo was pretty "successful" if you count the sheer volume of comments, but I think that Battlestar Inferno and probably Taking Control are comparable to that, especially given the subject matter. I think the Supernatural fandom is kind of a different animal when it comes to vidding or writing fic, or anything fandom related. (Especially if it's Sam or Dean centric.) So the fact that Taking Control got the attention it did, was featured at WinCon, etc., even though it didn't focus on either of the main characters, means a lot more to me.

Re: Battlestar Inferno. I haven't been in the fandom very long, but the BSG fandom at this point in time is a bit more of a low rumble compared to SPN. So the attention that Battlestar Inferno got was phenomenal, imo.

Vid that I think should've gotten more attention: Hmm, most of my vids did as well as I expected them to, and most times better. Maybe I thought Swallowed would be more appreciated, simply because there just aren't a lot of Jack/Sawyer vids in fandom and there are shitloads of Jack/Sawyer fangirls.

Also, I think All Fired Up, but I understand why it didn't get more attention, being brand new to the fandom and all.

Most fun to make: Oh gosh, I dunno. I think every video has a moment when you're vidding and you're just so sick of the song and you want to get stabby. I would say that Battlestar Inferno was pretty fun as far as clip searching, re-discovering just what a big bunch of boozers those colonials really are. But Swallowed was just... I had a smile on my face the entire time making that. Those boys.

Hardest to Make: They're all hard. I tried some MAN-ips manips in Swallowed, but I could have done better. Um, I don't know. All of them, haha.

Things I've Learned: Gosh, I've learned so much in vidding over the year. I'd be typing until this time next year if I mentioned everything. I think philosophically speaking though, maybe that... simpler can be better, that effects are not always evil, and you gotta enjoy what you're doing, because if you don't it's definitely gonna show up in the vid. Oh! And there can always be more Callum. *wink*

Things to work on: I'd really like to work on created stories and AU. That's something I have yet to master.

Aw, well thanks Kayl. You know there is a small chunk of the new one even that I am just like "um, why did I do that?" but I think it's like Shakespeare's tragedy with every vid - thirty seconds after it's rendered uploaded and posted, I realize one little segment/mistake that I could have done better/changed and it aggravates me every time I watch the vid haha.

I am not a sheep! Hehehe.

Ah, you came for the Callum, and stayed for the.... Callum? I like season two, but I find season one a little slow. That said, Victoria's Secret, a two-parter near the end of S1 (which you may have heard of, it's pretty popular), is utterly beautiful.

You know, even if the show wasn't great I would have stayed for the Callum and just the Callum. But lucky me! This show rocks on levels of epic proportions. Fraser and Mort and Frencesca and repeated exposition and the funny/apropros names for everybody and yeah. It's so cute I want to pinch its cheeks.

Yeah, it's a very very lovable show. Fraser is an irresistible character, and the really cool thing is that while he seems at times like a cardboard cut-out, he has all kinds of funky levels. You see a bit more of that in season two, so it's absolutely worth watching if you like the character.

I also really like Vecchio. He doesn't have Kowalski's OMG want to lick his face hotness, but that's kind of a big ask. ;-)

Oh, did I mention that I am deeply in love with Ray Kowalski?

Aw, thanks. Well, you know, I didn't start vidding with Vegas, and honestly, it is a difficult program to learn - especially if you have never vidded before. I would say maybe look for some simple tutorials online? I used to know where there was a nice one but it's since been taken down by the owner.

You could check out lostvideo.net and look in the forums. I know for sure there are several Vegas threads in the technical help sub-forum.
