I should be working on finishing my two overdue Sweet Charity fics, and honestly I would have had them finished before the deadline, but I can't seem to get my head in the game. Also I'm slightly distracted to say the least. School starts again tomorrow, so that will help. That may not sound like it makes any sense, but for me, school/work provides structure, which makes it easier for me to get things done, despite having less time in order to do so... And I'm not sure that clarified things any. But for whatever reason, it seems like the more time I have to kill, the less I end up getting done in the long run. There's some metaphor in here about idle hands... though I'm not sure it applies. (Idle hands are Callum's playpen?)

002
I feel ramble-y.

003
Yesterday, in a fit of clarity insanity, I deleted all my Supernatural episodes from my external hard drive. Now there's definitely a part of me that facepalmed immediately afterwards because I know I want to make that buddy video soon, and I was planning on using clips from the show, but the other part of me? Is totally indifferent. I have the show on DVD. If I want to watch it, I can. But from a vidding standpoint? I'm just not too broken up about it. What can I say?

004
I love hate Friday Night Lights. Haha. No spoilers. But only a show that I really love can engage me so much that I get that worked up after watching an episode, and can make me want to punch a character (multiple) and hug them three seconds later. So. Much. Hate. Love.

005
I'm working on a Hard Core Logo video to The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars. I'm doing some very un-me-like work with the opening, using voice clips and text and it's all very experimental and it's a movie vid which I've wanted to do for a long time and I'm v. v. excited! I'm gonna take my time with it though. Plot. Plan. Poof. (?)

006
I've forgotten half the stuff I was going to say, which is probably better for everyone. I also forgot to put my clothes in the dryer and I just remembered this very second. Frak.

007
The vegetarian bologna really wasn't all that bad considering that I am neither a vegetarian nor a friend-of-the-bologna.

ETA: I miss my flist. I try to keep up, but you people are fast little frakkers. *hugs you all liek woah*

Hee! Callum says wassup! *g*

My flist are fast little frakkers too. I curse them all for being so damned interesting. I'm not even working right now (CFS bleeeurgh) and I still can't keep up.

Yeah it's pretty impossible at times. Other days it feels slow but I know it must be an illusion of some kind because the next second I feel so far behind.

Oh, Callum.

DUDE! DUDE! Irrelevant, but I KNOW you'll get it, I watched the bsg miniseries and will start on the actual series soon! Dude, Starbuck is made of win and so is the chief guy whose name escapes me, but HELLLLLOOOOO HELO! *bouncy* DUDE! DUDE! IT'S AWESOME!

Ahem. I also have many fantasies about Whedonverse Spike being a pilot or mechanic on that show. Occasionally I see Dean as a mechanic in the same show. Then his dad and brother show up too. *sigh* My mind is a happy place.

Chief Galen Tyrol. ;) And yes, Starbuck is made of complete and total win. I am so stoked you're watching this show. *bounces with you*

I can't wait until you get all caught up with the series! You are in for a hell of a ride!

Emotionally I'm already caught up. All it took was the miniseries and two freaking episodes. I'm so frakking easy. *facepalm* in my head i already know what kind of aviation call signal i'd have... if... you know... i happened to...uhm. Pilot. Or sth. *headdesk*

Starbuck should totally be a hunter in the spn verse. I'm just saying.

A Supernatural/BSG crossover pwp with Kara and Dean. That should satisfy your craving!

From: [identity profile] ultraviolet9a.livejournal.com
Oh dude. That TOTALLY satisfied the craving. Thank you.
(Now all i need is to write a fic where Helo is a hunter or sth, and somehow in a scene he'll be very very naked. What? I tend to get inspired by visuals. Really. ;) )

Hahaha, you crack me up seriously. I can't even imagine how it'll be after you've seen the whole series. I anticipate that very much!

PS Helo + Lollipop = OTP. LMAO.

oh GOD NOT THE LOLLIPOP! I LOVE LOLLIPOPS.

*facepalm* You don't know how much i've been haunted by James Marsters singing with a lollipop in his mouth. And his character Spike with a ciggie in his mouth.

HELO AND LOLLIPOPS? OMG. I just might combust. YOU'RE NOT HELPING ME. :)

Hehehe! Check the triad (card) game during the mini. I know there are other parts (in season 2?) when he's sucking on one. Yeah. I said sucking. WHAT?

I need a helo icon.

Oh i have. Checked. And basically i think i'd love a Helo cylon. I mean, they could make many models and maybe put them out to commerce? Please? Pretty please? And maybe a cylon Sam and John and Dean Winchester too! and Spike!! Ahem. Don't mind me. I'm looking at silver linings. *headdesk*

Hard Core Logo vid FTW. \o/

My flist are occasionally fairly silent, until they decide to post pages of entries insie of a couple hours. It's like they coordinate it.

It must be a soopersekrit plot of some sort. There's really no other possible explanation. Together we can uncover the conspiracy!

I am really super stoked for this vid. Yes ma'am! It's fun working with the footage, but a little challenging as well. One the one hand you don't have 20+ hours of footage to work with as you would with a series. And on the other hand, you don't have 20+ hours of footage to work with. Double edged sword, that.

Yeah, movie vids are like that. The shortness of the media makes it so that every bit has been watched obsessively a few times, so it's not got the possibility of surprise like a series vid. *g* On the upside, HCL is a visually interesting film. I mean aside from Callum.

If you asked really nicely, I bet Bruce could give you cut material. *g* He gave all the raw footage for The Tracey Fragments so people could make vids, because he just rocks that hard (and TTF is just impossible to pirate due to insane editing, but still).

Date: 2008-01-07 06:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com
Hahaha, I think I would be in vidder (and Callum) heaven if he did that. He seriously did that? God, I love him dude. That rocks. I have never seen The Tracey Fragments.

So okay, random. During the bar scene (when they time travel) and Joe says, "you're still a contrary motherfucker." I sweartagod it sounds like he's saying "motherfrakker." I've listened to it over and over and so has Dayln. We've decided that he MUST be saying "motherfrakker" and thus Bruce or someone must have been a fan of the original BSG since they used the word frak on that show as well. Haha. Either that, or we're both deaf.

The Tracey Fragments was his new movie this year, with Ellen Page. It's really quite excellent -- and the split screen editing is insane. I'm hoping it gets DVD release.

Heh. Well, Joe actually says "cunt-trary motherfucker", because he's just that classy. I'm thinking that's a Hugh Dillon original, actually. I think the other thing is just him being mumbledy. I find him perfectly comprehensible, since there's no difference between a Kingston accent and mine. *g*

Date: 2008-01-07 08:29 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com
Oh well it was funny to think that might be what he's saying. At first I thought "no way" but then I remembered the old series used the word fra[c]k as well. But I trust you. I think Dayln is making me a "cunt-trary motherfrakker" icon as we speak though. Hehe.

I really like Ellen Page! I have Hard Candy sitting on my desk right now actually. I still haven't watched the whole thing, but I think she's pretty awesome. Isn't she in Juno as well?

Heee. That'll be a fun icon. And inappropriate. \o/

Ellen Page is made of win! She is in Juno, and is getting mad press for it. She was also in Wilby Wonderful (there is a really cute picture of her and Callum a fan got at the Atlantic Film Festival that year), and ReGenesis, and probably some other stuff I forget. *g*

It's good to let go of a fandom for a while. ... says the guy who does a Buffy vid every two months

From: [identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com
Yeah I think you're right. There's something so overwhelming about the Supernatural fandom too. The scope of it - honestly like nothing I've ever seen.

Oh, Buffy. *loves*

I myself haven't done a Buffy vid even though I breathed/ate/lived that show when it was on air (and after!) I should make an attempt sometime this year. Who knows if that will happen. I have so many vids I'd love to do. Also there's that whole, eating, sleeping, living, thing that gets in the way.

Date: 2008-01-07 07:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bradcpu.livejournal.com
I agree about Supernatural. I've never seen a fandom explode like this. Of course, I wasn't in vidding circles during the height of Buffy's popularity.

I'd love to see a Buffy vid from you. Your latest BSG one, Karma Police, was just tremendous. Wonderful use of motion throughout. I envy anyone who can work so well with the "shaky cam" footage.

Also there's that whole, eating, sleeping, living, thing that gets in the way
Ah, who needs it.

Date: 2008-01-07 08:35 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] crickets.livejournal.com
Aw, wow. Well thank you! :D

That kind of footage really inspires me. Actually, Hard Core Logo has the same kind of shaky docu-style footage. I upped it, check the last entry if you haven't seen it. You may like it.

FNL has that kind of footage as well. It's becoming more popular, I think.

Ah, I really really wanna do a Buffy vid. *adds it to the list* I'll really have to think about what I'd like to do because downloading 7 seasons just isn't something I'm prepared to do right now. *ponders*
