I've Lost My Leg
Oct. 17th, 2006 01:10 amYes I do have a mid-term this week, what's your point?
Earlier last week I caught Romeo + Juliet on television one afternoon and it reminded me just how well I thought Leonardo DiCaprio performed in that movie. Later that week, by pure coincidence, I happened to see The Departed in theaters and holy good movie batman! I had been wanting to see this since I first saw the previews. I'm not a Scorcese fan by any stretch of the imagination. But this just looked damn good. My powers of perception were spot on apparently because this is one killer movie.
So, in honor of these two occurances and the overall kick-ass-ish-ness of The Departed, I present to you 9 Romeo + Juliet icons and 12 Departed icons along with a couple of songs from the movie.
Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
I'm Shipping up to Boston - The Dropkick Murphys
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd featuring Van Morrison

P.S. The article in the latest issue of Nylon with Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartzmann on the cover really makes me want to see Marie Antoinette badly.
