I'm not really sure how I feel about all of this.
001. I loved the "Gemma knows" fake-out and it turning out to be her pop. Sad and sweet and unexpected.
002. I really hate that Hale's [extremely likely] last words on the show were basically him supporting his douchebag brother. His character was one that I had a strong fondness for. He brought something different to the table and was genuinely good and likable despite butting heads with the club so frequently. I loved that Jax had an unlikely ally in him and his ascent to Sheriff was something I was very much looking forward to. I wanted to see how it would change the dynamics of the club and of Charming itself. Now, if the brain-matter shot is to be believed, we'll never see any of that. My one hope in all this is that he somehow miraculously survives and this is a chance for him and Tara to become closer, but I'm pretty sure that's a long-shot considering the total lack of magic in Charming. [Despite its magical name.]
003. Jack helping Opie out of the barbed wire was a bit of a dream come true for me seeing as I kind of totally ship them. Haha. Opie taking Jax to the shower was a little less romantic though, considering Jax's state at the time, lol.
004. Jax's journey and meltdown. I was not happy, but I'm holding out hope for our would-be good boy.
I said way back at the end of watching season two that Piney, Tara, Opie, and Hale were the ones I saw as being able to keep Jax on his path and to not allow him to forget the words [or the spirit, in Hale's case] of his father. Hale was supporting Jax on that path even if he didn't know the details of it. Now it seems we won't see him helping out on that front. Tara, well, I'm not sure she's helping anybody much to be quite honest. Opie's still a bit of a question mark, but his behavior towards both Tigger and Agent Stahl after finding out the truth about Donna may indicate that he'll encourage Jax to behave in kind. Even though that remains to be seen. But PINEY! Thank the lord for Piney. He's clearly not going to let me down.
"You're decent. You love the right things. That's who he was. And I miss him. I miss him." - Piney
