I got back a while ago from seeing The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I was impressed. No spoilers, but after the Swedish version I was kind of unsure of a remake so soon afterward. I was especially concerned they'd tone it down too much for American audiences. But they didn't. In fact I think some sequences were even more intense. And can I just say that more men need to be built like Daniel Craig? God fucking damn.

How is his body how it is? I know he is still only in his early forties. (By know, I mean I THINK and am too lazy to look it up.) But god it's just so toned, yet slim. Just all very tightly packed muscle.

Ooh. More intense? I'm not sure whether to be happy or worried. Happy it's a good film, but worried because the original was pretty brutal at parts and I can't imagine even more intense. I'd be worried about me!

How did the leads compare? Did the actress in the American version make the role her own?

I'd say happy and yet slightly worried? I mean, the really tough stuff is just as tough to watch, as it should be. So there's no getting around that.

I can't really tell if Rooney made Lisbeth her own. I feel like in some ways she was slightly "softer" in the role than Noomi, but I don't know if that's due in part to the script or her portrayal. I'm reserving judgement on that for a while. (I also don't really know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.)

And Daniel Craig was fantastic.
