This is not actually possible. I understand that she got a lot of hate for this season but there's really NO ONE ELSE? It can't just be me and you. CAN'T.
It is, I'm serious. I had to stop reading TWOP boards (which as a whole used to be the sanest place to read about people's TV opinons for me) because everyone there was posting arguments about how Karen is LITERALLY worse and more despicable and deserving of hatred than FUCKING FRANK.
Would you mind telling me what happened with her at the end of the season? I stopped watching somewhere in the middle, so I know she was pregnant and I think it wasn't Lip's but I got caught up in classes/tests and now I'm just over d/ling it to watch a whole season of sad. Did she keep the baby? I heard Lip did something awful?
She married Jody and was going to keep the baby and raise it with him. But she ended up kicking Jody out and deciding to give the baby up for adoption. She and Lip were going to all these adoption meetings together as he assumed that the baby was his. (But Karen consistently told him it wasn't, though it's clear that she didn't really know.) They weren't back together, but they were getting closer. Lip surprisingly began to feel very paternal toward the unborn baby and even recorded a video of himself to give to the adoptive parents. When she finally has the baby, it has down syndrome and is definitely not Lip's kid. (He's asian.) The adoptive parents back out when they find out the baby has down syndrome and Karen is still determined to give the baby up for adoption. Sheila (who by this point is in a relationship with Jody) steals the baby from the hospital and takes it home where she and Jody are going to raise it. Karen is furious and demands that her mother return the baby to the hospital, going so far as to call the cops. The cops (Tony and another officer) refuse to take the baby away from her and let her keep it. Karen gives her mother an ultimatum and tells her it's her or the baby. Sheila chooses the baby, and Karen packs her things and leaves.
ETA: The thing that Karen was doing, which I guess is why so many people are upset with her? Is that she was trying to emotionally distance herself as far from the baby as she could. And the same with Lip for the majority of the time. I don't fault her for this, and she isn't always the most tactful about things, but apparently she's committed the highest sin by doing these two things.
As far as Lip is concerned, he and Ian were fighting for a huge chunk of the season (and Ian for whatever reason, continued to call Karen a whore whenever possible, which made me really unhappy with him!) and then he and Fiona get into it because he wants to drop out of school. They make a deal that if she finishes school/gets her GED that he'll go back to school too. He doesn't keep his end of the bargain and Fiona tells him he's back in school or he's out. He chooses to leave and ends up staying with Steve for a while. Also, he ends up sleeping with Mandy Milkovich for a good chunk of the season and he even stays at the Milkovich's after Steve kicks him out. (She, too, is very judgey about Karen and the baby.) Eventually she realizes that Lip has always been in love with Karen and she tells him that he should go back home with his family. Which he does. In the end, he brings Karen home from the hospital after her mom takes the baby, and tries to convince her not to leave, but she does anyway.
WOW I really don't know how to keep things short and sweet do I?
