When I had my blog I started this lame "Take Out Film Rec" column where I'd rec movies you could either rent or stream online at netflix/amazon/youtube and order take out and watch in your living room. I think I recced all of 2 movies before I ran out of stamina. (Rubber and Attack the Block, in case you're wondering.) Anyway, I'm not saying I'm going to start doing this here, but I do have a recommendation for you guys:

Stuck Between Stations

I just told [livejournal.com profile] stainofmylove that this movie reminded me a lot of Before Sunrise (as blasphemous as that might sound for fans of that movie) and that it was pretty much fantastic. It really is. And I feel like I should say more about it but I think the trailer kind of says it all. Also, Sam Rosen is completely adorable and this is the first film where I truly loved Zoe Lister Jones, and weirdly I've seen a lot of stuff with her in it. Generally, Netflix has been putting a lot more understated character-driven indies on their streaming site lately and I've been kind of loving it. (I really enjoyed The Yellow Handkerchief as well.)

That movie looks amazing. I'm also a little obsessed with the song at the end. The comment about "what's so great about being okay?" really resonates with me because I've found that when things are just this side of going to shit, that's when I feel ~okay. It's the marginal good, just before things really do fall apart. I'll add it to my list :)

I agree so much. I love movies that are just like one long conversation. There's something so organic about them. And real. Definitely let me know what you think when you watch this.
