GIF TO MOTIVATE MYSELF OK!
Under the cut there's gonna be (possibly incredibly vague) spoilers for the current seasons of:
Lost Girl
The Carrie Diaries
Grey's Anatomy
The Vampire Diaries
Shameless (US)
- Lost Girl (from mid-season 2 to 3.03)
- Vex: Why so adorable? I can't even with him. And the last episode. I really hope they're not sending him away to come back as the big bad or something. Because so much love for this character that I never expected in a zillion years. This show increasingly reminds me of Buffy and this episode did it for me, not only because of the whole Band Candy recall, but because of Vex and his struggle with being what Kenzi, Bo, and his new "friends" are turning him into. And I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
- Lauren: The most recent episode is pretty much the only time I have liked Lauren, and contrary to winning me over, it just made me a little suspect that the writers were just trying to win over "Kenzi" (aka the fans) with this very out-of-character display. Her interaction with Kenzi after their fight is pretty much the only time I have ever really seen any life in this character. To me she is dull, and often poorly written when compared to the other characters (example: EVERY scene with her and Nadia last season), and she drags down almost any scene she's in. And lest you think my dislike of her comes from being a Dyson/Bo shipper at heart, I'll clarify: A) I am more of a Dyson/Kenzi shipper than a Dyson/Bo shipper. And B) I already ship Bo with Tamsin more than I ship Bo with Lauren, and am a known multi-shipper so Dyson's got nothing to do with it.
- I really loved all the Kenzi/Hale stuff last season. Especially the episode where he brings her to meet his parents. (Because! ANGST!) I don't know how him being the Ash this season is going to affect his character, but I really hope he continues to be an integral part of the group. So far it seems like it.
- I am irritated by the fact that they are dragging out Dyson revealing what happened with the Norn last season. I only say this because it feels like something that they should have dealt with last season and I suspect they might just save it for the finale, which just feels kinda cheap and lazy. I'd like to deal with the fallout from that sooner rather than later. I don't really buy that in all of his many years, Dyson only truly ever loved Bo, and the idea that he can never love anyone else just irritates me so much. Because A) There are so many different kinds of love and B) KENZI/DYSON SHIPPER, STANDING RIGHT HERE!
- I am really excited for whatever is to come. Basically this show rocks my human socks.
- The Carrie Diaries (1.01 & 1.02)
- I love the casting on this show. (With the possible exception of Austin Butler.) I especially think that AnnaSophia Robb is more than capable of carrying this show as the lead.
- I love the 80s setting and the music. I am also sure they're gonna screw the timing on some of their selections if they haven't already, but I DON'T REALLY CARE!
- I love the way they are dealing with Carrie's family dynamic. I hope they keep that up because it is really working for me in a big way. The car wash scene in this last ep just filled me with such joy.
- ROSIE LARSEN! You guys! She is not dead! She just time traveled!
- That's pretty much all I have to say. I like it and I'm gonna keep watching it until it does something terrible.
- Oh, also. There's a girl called Mouse. Love it.
- Grey's Anatomy
- I really have no idea what to say about this show right now. So much of what they're showing us is completely pointless. I am so tired of the lawsuit storyline and with few exceptions I don't feel like they're doing anything of value with this season except expending all of their real writing talents to endearing us to the new interns, which is working surprisingly better than I imagined it ever would. But as we don't really care that much about them yet, it's... well... hard to care about that, lol.
- DEREK/CALLIE! OMG YOU GUYS!
- (Was I being inappropriate again?)
- If there isn't a major fallout regarding the fact that Alex is the one who performed Arizona's surgery, I'm going to hurt someone.
Okay that's as far as I could get tonight. I think I did pretty good considering my utter lack of posting show reactions as of late.
Amy, Tina, I let you guys down and I recognize that. I'll do better next time

Date: 2013-01-30 01:18 am (UTC)That's partially it, but I'm actually pretty tired of Austin pretty much playing the same character -- the generic jock/popular kid/cool guy. First in Life Unexpected, then in Switched at Birth (although I did end up really liking his character Wilke in that one), and now The Carrie Diaries.

I feel as though they're rehashing characters and storylines from the original interns but just showing it from the opposite perspective, and whilst I like the interns I like them because they remind me of all the interns when they were babies. Nothing new is happening. Is this the last season or did I make that up?
I do not believe that there will ever be any more spoken of Arizona's leg. I think it's done its dramatic moment. Pretty sure she didn't even have the crutches last week!
