krickets: (KILLING. we're back here again.)

This is my "killer speculation" post. My proper reaction post will be posted directly after this. And here it is.

After this episode I am a mix of "more confused than ever" and "okay maybe I might be getting close to my pick for most-likely-to-be-the-killer." I just can't tie all the threads together.

Going by this episode alone, my gut says that Joe Mills is a patsy. He's been framed. I mean, he's a creepy pedophile, but he's not the killer.

So if I'm following that thread, then who did the framing? Maybe the guy with the box of rings: Carl Reddick? I have suspected him more than once throughout, but if he's the one that planted the rings, then maybe it could work. The actor did have a huge bandage on his hand during the Holder/Reddick fight attack scene at the end, and it was pointed out that Bullet fought back hard during her attack, but it was flesh colored so it could be unimportant and production may have been trying to hide it as much as possible. They obviously weren't trying to make it stand out. The other thing is that Reddick took calls from Bullet, if Bullet spoke to him, not knowing who he was, and told him she knew who the killer was? He may have gone after her. That's why she doesn't fit the MO and that's why she specifically was targeted.

I just can't see Reddick being that... pro-active. This all seems like way too much energy for him. But there's a chance I could still be right and he's not acting alone.

But then there's Becker, and Henderson (unlikely), and Skinner (who I still have my suspicions about), and the P.O. and Joe Mills who wasn't in town for Trisha's death but still could be involved with the others, and Goldie (are we still counting him?) and possibly Dale (somehow) and it's all so confusing. I can't remember if any of those suspects have been ruled out completely as suspects. Skinner did show up just before Reddick came out with the box of rings. Maybe he's the one who planted it? I JUST DON'T KNOW!

I don't know where Twitch could have gotten the money. Maybe he stole it? I imagine that Bullet's death was reported. They did get an ID on her pretty quick and the killings are headline news. I think I always ruled out Twitch or any of the street kids because the string of murders and Trisha Seward's killing at least 3 years ago (or over? since it's supposed to be February, Trisha was murdered at Christmas, and the other girls were murdered before that) I imagine Twitch is supposed to be around 18? So he'd have been what? 15? I just don't know how involved he is. Maybe he sold out Bullet? I don't know. It seems to me that he wouldn't want to stay in town after that, so turning around and getting an apartment with Lyric doesn't seem like a logical next step, especially since its established he was leaving so no one would question it.

I guess I'll buy that Joe Mills is involved, but I still feel like he was completely set up in this episode. I'll probably be proven wrong, but who knows.

I think Twitch did something shady that he feels bad about, like telling someone something or otherwise helping out. It could make sense with Joe Mills having been out of commission, but I don't think Twitch is involvedinvolved with it or the previous ones.

Ugh, Joe Mills is so freaking creepy, but I'm not sure how much of the killings are attributed to him. Perhaps he was more of a screening process for who is taken.

Ugh maybe you're right about Twitch. I just don't know how to connect it all and that drives me bonkers. BONKERS I SAY. Maybe somebody came to Twitch and asked him where Bullet might hang out and offered him a lot of money? But why? How would they know? It almost just fuels my Reddick speculation, because he talked to her that night at the station and possibly knew that she was onto the killer. Why would anybody else be looking for her? But, wouldn't that make Twitch a witness? It's kinda messy.
