I've never felt so damn shitty about being right about anything before in my life. (Perhaps a slight exaggeration.) This would have fucked Linden up royally even if she hadn't reconciled with Skinner right before, but now she's even more broken than she's ever been.

Damn.

I don't even know what to say.

That ending was bleak, bleak, bleak. And I kinda feel the same way you do. The whole season, I was looking forward to Sarah's instincts (about Pied Piper and Trisha Seward's killer being the same person) being validated, but that victory was bitterly mocked by her complete lack of instinct when it came to Skinner. As much as I would love to see a S4, dramatically speaking, I can live with this as a series finale.

I should have KNOWN this show would turn that around on us. The satisfaction of knowing she was right all along is so fucking dissatisfying. ONLY THE KILLING.

I can't truly comprehend the tragedy of the last 4 episodes.

It's just too much to deal with.

And it's fiction. But it's in my head and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
