I can't even describe this. First of all, it's Jess which I have a hard time taking. But the way they write her is just amazing. It's very dark but it's beautiful too. Definitely worth a read.

I just have a few more things to do before the semester is up. (Two finals, a quiz, a reading.) Once it's over I'm gonna finish those drabbles I promised, I promise! Hell maybe I'll start today... take a little break...? (My "this is a bad idea" alarm is blaring.)

Somehow she manages to fit Dean right into their world, pre-miniseries bsg, pre-pilot spn. The characters are so spot on. And it's hot! And angsty! And hot! I can picture every moment. And it's perfect. And if you like supernatural and bsg, or one or the other, do yourself a favor and read. Love. Love. Love.

Excerpt:In the head, Starbuck brushes her teeth and then spits into Helo’s sink. Helo’s shaving, and almost cuts himself, and then his hand hits the back of her head, telling her to behave, and she’s laughing and laughing, foam rolling down the side of her lips, and then she dips her hand in his shaving cream and throws it across Dean.

He can only laugh along, carried by some strange new orbit, part of something he doesn’t fully comprehend.

I just want to rec the fic of falseeeyelashes to everyone here. She writes so gracefully and she paints these beautiful pictures and stories in a very succint and poetic and yet real kind of way. A couple of my favorites of hers are nuclear winter and five crimes kate austen never committed in the LOST fandom and the leaves change colors in california, right? of the Supernatural fandom. In addition to LOST and Supernatural, she also writes Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, The Black Donnelly's, Smallville, House, Studio 60, Arrested Development among others.

The paper feels old in his hands, rough, as though if he rubs it between his fingers a time or two it will simply disintegrate, and maybe then the truth will just be tiny illegible scraps of paper lying at his feet. Lying there, lying, lying, lying and no longer words that spell the truth.

She recently wrote a beautiful and heartwrenching WWII era original fic called gingerbread tastes a bit like this and I encourage everyone to go and read it and tell her how wonderful it is.

This was recced to me by purestvixen I'm not all that well-versed when it comes to wincest, though I have read a story or two. I don't mind it and it doesn't squick me. I just hadn't read any that I loved before. Until now. I don't know what to say except that it rocks my socks off. Read it. You won't be sorry.

I saw them talking about this fic over in the comments at arabella_hope's place and it is so wonderful. It's about Dean driving Sam cross country to school and it is so well written. Nothing wincesty for those of you squicked by it. Perfectly in character and heartwrenching without being fluffy. And funny too. Go read it! Now!
