Does anybody know how to extract pictures from a flash site? (Like an official HBO site for a certain show I might be watching.) Per chance? This is of course a question I have asked myself many times before, but have never figured out. You can save everything else from the internet, there's gotta be a way. (Other than screencapping.) I spent a lot of time earlier today googling and I also looked for a firefox add-on of some kind but didn't find anything useful. Of course it was hard to know exactly what terms to enter into my search.

Take a look at these links:

I have a friend who figured out how to DL large FLV format (ie Flash format video) files from a major TV portal using a variation on this method. Basically, if it's streaming to your desktop, it has to load the file to you temporarily, so you just have to FIND OUT WHERE THE FILE IS on your computer and save it. From there it's really about making sure you have a player that can open/play the file ... or converting it to a format you can work with.

Hope that helps.

Actually they look like xml files. The only flash thing that saved was a pre-loader. I was able to find what I needed by using the adblock plus add-on in Firefox and doing some snooping. Yay!

Thanks you for your help!
